finished in black over tan leather. Modifications include 16″ Superformance wheels, a Birdman fuse box, Nardi
steering wheel, a modified exhaust system, and a Norwood Autocraft power window relay. A timing belt service was
completed in January 2017, and work during the past year included a mechanical inspection and replacement of the
spark plugs and cold-start valve, new optima battery, new AC compresor, new AC belt, full interior restoration and
detailing including seats, and center console, new e-brake boot, new oil and filter oil, and a complete paint
correction and detailing.

This 308 GTSi is now offered with detailed service records from 1986 onward, the removed factory wheels (14”),
along with factory manuals, a workshop manual, original tool kit, electrical switches, belts, air pump components,
accessories, a clean carfax and clean title.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in black and features a removable roof panel and pop-up headlights.
The previous seller states that the door skins and hinge assemblies were replaced upon purchase in 1986, and the
car was repainted at that time.

Superformance 16″ wheels with Ferrari center caps are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT tires. The the steering rack
bushing and boots were replaced in January 2017 by Norwood Auto Italia of Carrollton, Texas, and stainless steel
braided brake lines were also added. The removed factory Cromadora wheels are included in the sale.

The interior is fitted with tan leather upholstery on the seating surfaces and matching door panels, as well as a
contrasting black dashboard and carpets. A full detail and restoration was performed last month by Fibrenew
Hollywood. Equipment includes R134a-converted Borletti air conditioning, and a gated shifter with a dogleg first
gear position.

The three-spoke leather-wrapped Nardi steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 10k-rpm tachometer
and an 180-mph speedometer, as well as gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature.

Corvette gets slidey with Britain's best performance cars

Sat, 18 Oct 2014

Autocar wants to find Britain's best driver's car, and it's challenging a murderers' row of some of the world's best performance vehicles to find out, including the latest Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. All of them were therefore assembled at the Castle Combe Circuit to find a winner.
If it wants to take the crown from this pack of mostly European competitors, the 'Vette has to beat some steep competition. Its challengers include monsters like the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ariel Atom 3.5R and Jaguar F-Type Coupe. As a further hurdle for the winner to clear, Autocar also has last year's champ among the fighters - the Porsche 911 GT3.
Even if you're not at all interested in the C7, there's still something here for practically any fan of fast cars. The competitors include relative oddities among the pack like the Renault Mégane RS Trophy and Alfa Romeo 4C. Plus, Autocar has some well-positioned microphones that let you hear the Atom wailing like a banshee and the roar of the 458 Speciale. Check out the video to see which one of these all-stars takes home the award this year.

LaFerrari XX to pack 1,050 hp

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

With 949 horsepower on tap, it would be hard to imagine Ferrari getting much more juice out of the 6.3-liter V12 hybrid powering its LaFerrari. But apparently, it's possible, as reports suggest that the forthcoming LaFerrari XX will pack somewhere closer to 1,050 hp.
This according to Top Gear, which reports that the successor to the Enzo-based FXX and the subsequent 599XX will be revealed next month in Abu Dhabi at the company's year-end Finale Mondiali extravaganza - the same event where, in years past, Ferrari has presented such extreme machines as the 458 Challenge Evoluzione, the aforementioned 599XX and the FXX Evoluzione.
When the subject of a LaFerrari XX first came up several months ago, Antonello Coletta - head of the department responsible for the XX program - said he couldn't picture the track version of the company's flagship hybrid hypercar being much faster or more powerful than the existing version. But where there's a will, there's a way. TG reports that the extra hundred horses have been corralled in the V12 and not in the electric motor, which will reportedly carry over essentially unchanged from the road-going model.

Seven-figure cars highlight day one of RM's Monterey auction

Sat, 17 Aug 2013

RM Auctions is one of several houses holding auctions during the Monterey weekend, and Friday night's festivities got quite pricey. Seven-figure vehicles were not at all uncommon during the first day of the two-day event, with the 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Spider, seen above, crossing the block for $9,075,000.
Other big earners included a pair of rare Ferraris, a 1950 166 MM Barchetta and a 1955 750 Monza Spider, which took $3,080,000 and $4,070,000, respectively. Outside of the red Italians, a 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special captured $7,480,000 while a stunning, color-appropriate 1955 Jaguar D-Type took $3,850,000. We've got images of these vehicles, and a few other stunning examples of last night's auction, in the gallery above.
Thought it seems impossible, tonight's auction is expected to see even more high-dollar action. The winner of the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours, a 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Torpedo Roadster is expected to command over $10 million. Also crossing the block will be a car we reported on a few weeks back - a supremely rare 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder. One of only 10 in the world, it's expected to take anywhere from $14 to $17 million when it hits the stage tonight.
