It is time to move on, or she will so I had better get this listed.   There is much published about this vehicle but in my own commentary I can offer the following.   Smooth, quiet but a tremendous amount of power and handling if you want.   I have had a F430 in the past and although the sound is awesome, it gets tiring after about an hour of driving, and for this reason I purchased this vehicle.      Specifically about this vehicle,   I purchased this from a 50 year old Doctor in Dallas and have owned it for about 3 years,  always garaged, covered with the factory red cover, and factory maintained.   I have NEVER had any problem at all, so I am super happy with it.    Leather smell is very fresh.   I am not a photography specialist so my images may not be great.     Needless to say,   No accidents, Original Paint, no rebuilds, everything factory.   I have all the records, books, two (2) keys and window sticker.   If you went to a dealer, this is the car you would find in preowned but they would charge $25K more.  Call Pete at (908) 892-0768

I have been working overseas and do not drive nearly enough to justify garaging it.

Full disclosure:

It needs a belt service some time this winter
It needs a tire pressure monitor sending unit in one of the tires.   (intermittent fault code shows with the TPS device service needed)
There is a small scuff on the underside of the front spoiler measuring 2" wide by 1" long.    It can not be seen unless you get on the ground and look under.

Factory options:

Shields, painted brake calipers, F1 Transmission

Color is Grigio Silverstone,  Nero leather interior

These are two Ferrari design studies that led to the LaFerrari

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

Ferrari apparently worked through nine design concepts for its LaFerrari supercar recently shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and has put two of them on display at its museum in Maranello, Italy. Both from 2011, the Manta (pictured) is harder edged and looks closest to the finished product.
The other, the Tensostruttura, is much more fluid and looks like it probably came from the past or the future, not so much the present. You can check them both out in the videos below and register your take on what might have been.

Ferrari LaFerrari is beautifully redundant

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

The successor the Ferrari Enzo has officially bowed. Ferrari pulled the sheets back on the oddly named LaFerrari at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, calling the machine the "maximum expression" of what defines the automaker. In this case, that includes a 6.3-liter V12 engine with 789 horsepower married to a 160-hp electric motor. The combination is good for a full 949 hp and 663 pound-feet of torque, and Ferrari says the LaFerrari can punch to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Keep your foot planted and 124 mph will click by in a scant seven seconds, while top speed sits at a lofty 205 mph.
Engineers turned to a total of four different types of hand-laminatated carbon fiber to create a chassis that's both stiffer and lighter than would have otherwise been possible. With a 41/59 weight distribution, carbon-ceramic brakes and ultra-light calipers, the LaFerrari is unlike anything we've seen from the company to date. The automaker says its creation is the fastest in its long history. You can take a look at the in-depth press release below for more information, and be sure to check out the model's new site here.

Christopher Ward chrono has actual metal from a Ferrari 250 GTO

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

We've seen watchmakers use all sorts of methods to make their timepieces more attractive to automotive enthusiasts, from carbon-fiber dials and titanium cases to the logos of partnering automakers and racing series. Some have even designed all-new watches to go with a specific make or model. But Christopher Ward has taken things a step further with its latest chronograph.
The new Christopher Ward C70 3527 GT chronometer eschews all the usual gimmicks and goes for a more interesting one: it actually includes in its construction metal taken from the restoration of a Ferrari 250 GTO - namely chassis number 3527 GT that belongs to one Irvine Laidlaw, a Scottish nobleman and one of the wealthiest individuals in the UK.
When Baron Laidlaw bought his GTO in 2005, he sent it in for a thorough restoration that involved replacing some corroded and damaged exterior body panels. The discarded metal was acquired by TMB Artmetal, which specializes in that sort of thing, and partnered with Christopher Ward to create this limited-edition timepiece. The metal was used to make the back plate on which the number 6 - in homage to 3527's iconic 6 GTO license plate - is etched by laser and placed under museum-grade sapphire crystal.
