Extremely Rare Hard-Top version of the classic Fiat 500. This is a Francis Lombardi MyCar edition with special design features such as the hard top, rear spoiler lip, wooden shifter and steering wheel, thicker dashboard, etc....Only approximately 1000 of these cars were built.
To date, I haven't been able to locate any other like this in all of North America....
Engine has been rebuilt in 2011 to original specs (no modifications or alterations) it's still an original Fiat 500 engine. Everything else on the car is original.
Car runs great and can be kept as-is and/or can be restored eventually.
Obviously the car is far from perfect but it's all little things such as interior blinker indicator not working, odometer is way off, alternator light is on for no reason, there are some cosmetic little things with a car that's 45 years old.
However, it's an incredibly valuable collector piece and this car attracts a lot more attention than driving my Ferrari down the road. Inevitably, everyone's cell phone comes out to take a picture as you're driving down the road.
Car can reach speeds of about 110 Km/h on a good day downhill with the wind at your back so it's totally safe for highway driving and extremely economical.
The car is free of rotting or major corrosion/rust. It is very solid and in amazingly great shape when you consider the age.
Bought the car in Italy and had it brought over to North America a decade ago and it's been a fun ride but I'm now itching for something different so it's time to let her go. Took my wedding pics with this car so it makes me sad but it's time to say goodbye.
Car can be picked up or transport can be arranged/accomodated. It's small, easy and light to carry (almost fits in your carry-on, LOL)

2013 Fiat 500c Abarth takes its top off with a quickness
Wed, 28 Nov 2012What a pleasant little piece of plug-and-play. Putting the Fiat 500c's retractable roof on the hot 500 Abarth was pretty much a no-brainer, and hey, we certainly aren't complaining. Folding the soft top back on the little hatchback will only allow us to better hear that awesome exhaust note while we're burying the throttle. And come on, who doesn't like a little wind-in-your-hair action?
Again, the 500c Abarth package is pretty much a copy/paste job, so dynamically, the car isn't all that different. Under the hood is the same 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged inline-four, good for 160 horsepower and up to 170 pound-feet of torque (assuming you pressed the Sport button on the dash - something you really, really ought to do). A five-speed manual transmission is the only 'box available. And don't you dare complain about that.
New enhancements for the 2013 500c Abarth include an available Beats Audio system, and buyers will be able to attend a no-cost Abarth Driving Experience, where professional racers will show customers how to make the best use of their cars under full-throttle track applications. Pricing hasn't been announced just yet, but we expect to have that closer to the car's on sale date early next year. Fiat 500 Cattiva on the way
Wed, 19 Jun 2013While its dealer body has been clamoring for new and larger models, Fiat has actually done a pretty good trade selling all manner of 500 variants, from the standard hatchback and 500C cabriolet to its Abarth models, 500e electric runabout and special editions like the Gucci.
Fiat USA was a little slow out of the gates as it built up brand awareness and its dealer network, but it's now chugging along, with combined 500 model sales outselling that of its arch rival Mini (provided you subtract the Countryman crossover, a model for which Fiat has had no direct competitor up until this point). Franchisees are finally about to get the bigger, broader-appeal model they've been seeking in the form of the five-door 500L, but Fiat is still going to be devoting a lot of attention to their whisker-faced icon, the Cinquecento.
As proof, at the first drive event of the 500L in Baltimore, Fiat North America boss Jason Stoicevich confirmed that his company will produce a production version of the 500 Cattiva concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show in January. Stoicevich wouldn't divulge the model's pricepoint or availability timeframe, but he told us, "I can guarantee you it will happen. I just can't tell you when."
