WHAT I DID: BRAND NEW EDELBROCK CARBURETOR $400.00 REPAIRED ALMOST IF NOT ALL SMALL RUST AREAS THAT WERE AROUND TRUCK BODY, NO THICK BONDO, AND I LEFT ALL ORIGINAL PRIMER AND ORIGINAL PAINT SO BUYER CAN SEE THE REAL TRUCK. RUNS VERY STRONG JUST HAS A LIGHT TAP ROM A LIFTER NOISE, IT WAS SITTING 20 YEARS. I DID PREP MOTOR BEFORE STARTING, LUBRICATED CYLINDERS ETC. THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN NEW PARTS FROM JEFFS BRONCO'S. MODIFIED LEATHER SEATS FROM A GRAND WAGONEER NOT RIPPED, JUST PUT RACING BLACK AND BLUE COVERS. NEW PRE RUNNER BAR CUSTOM MADE SAME SPECS AS ORIGINAL. NO FLAT BLACK OR SILICONE HERE. NOT PICTURED IS DOOR WEATHER STRIP I PURCHASED FOR THE DOORS, ALSO NEW COMPLETE WIPER ARM, ALSO NEW ROLLS OF FENDER FLARE MOUNTING VINYL. NO RADIO. NEW THREE GAUGE SET UP WORKING PERFECTLY TO KNOW STATUS OF MOTOR. I TRIED FOUR WHEEL DIVE ONCE AND IT WORKED. DID NOT WANT TO MESS WITH THAT SO I CANT SPEAK ABOUT IT EITHER WAY. NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder
Fri, 11 Jul 2014There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.

There really is an F-150 to suit any need now, and the Limited variant slots in at the very top of the range, above the already pampering Platinum model.
While normally I would admit that I'm the least-appropriate person to test a pickup, the fact that this particular trim places a much higher premium on luxury than anything with a bed and Blue Oval badge before it means that I don't need the workman chops of a skilled tradesman to judge how well this truck meets its true aim.

With the Pebble Beach festivities kicking off this week, including any number high end car auctions, we thought it would be entertaining to compile a list of some to the most expensive cars ever sold with the bang of a gavel. Trouble is, once you get past the splendor of everyone's favorite Italian sports car maker, that list is pretty boring.
Ferrari dominates the all-time auction sales list; seven of the top ten most expensive cars sold wear the Cavallino Rampante badge, as well as more than half of the top fifty. Sure, a nearly $30-million Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar might be the new top dog as of last year, but it's even possible that Ferrari could take that title back in Monterey this weekend. Long story short: we think a list of the most expensive American cars ever sold at auction is a lot more entertaining to read. Hell, our list has a friggin' Batmobile on it, how can it go wrong?
