1990 Ford Bronco Custom Sport Utility 2-door 5.8l ( Eddie Bower ) on 2040-cars
Chesterfield, New Jersey, United States
Selling my Bronco. I purchased this truck in 1994. Sold it to my
neighbor, and then bought it back after the transmission failed. This
truck is all original and adult owned. The only change done is that I
paid a professional to have the Automatic E4OD transmission removed and we converted it to a M5OD - 5
Speed transmission. It has a hurst short shifter. Extra 5 Speed Trans
goes with the truck as well. This is an 5.8 Liter Engine. Exhaust is
custom flowmaster with single in and dual exhaust out the rear .Also
have a 1989 Bronco XLT parts truck for sale. This parts truck was used
for the transmission conversion from automatic to manual. Truck is in
great condition. Never off roaded. Never lifted. Interior is in excellent condition
for year. No rips or stains. The truck was repainted about 6 years ago, needs rust around rear wheels
repaired. Tailgate was replaced with an Ford OEM
tailgate ( $900 ) so no rust on that at all. Other than some body work,
windshield has a small tick in glass. Replaced many sensors and parts in
order to get this running smoothly. Fun to drive and sounds great wih
the new exhaust. Need a full size pickup, so that is why I'm selling
the truck.

Ford wins second consecutive Engine of the Year with 1.0L EcoBoost [UPDATE]
Wed, 05 Jun 2013For the second year in a row, Ford has taken top honors in International Engine of the Year voting. As was the case last year, it is Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that earns the automaker the accolade, achieving the highest-ever accumulated score in the 15 years that the award has been handed out.
A panel of 87 automotive journalists from 35 countries are responsible for choosing the world's best engines, and this is only the third time an automaker has managed back-to-back victories. Voters were impressed by the "Baby EcoBoost" engine's power output - 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, 148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm - and its compact size; Ford has demonstrated that the package is small enough to fit in the overhead bin of a passenger airplane.
Currently, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered in the European Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, and Ford plans to put the engine in the Transit Connect, Transit Courier, Tourneo Connect, Tourneo Courier, Mondeo and EcoSport in short order. In North America, the Fiesta will be the first vehicle to offer the 1.0L EcoBoost later this year.
NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors
Wed, 22 Oct 2014
Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
Ford to hack $4k off price of Focus EV amid slow sales
Wed, 10 Jul 2013Between slow sales and a hefty price drop for its nearest rival, the Ford Focus Electric may be looking at a pretty substantial price cut. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will drop the price of the all-electric by about $4,000 to $35,200 to be more competitive with the Nissan Leaf, which received a big price cut for 2013 down to $28,800.
Ford has already admitted to having low expectations for the car's sales and massive rebates were reported earlier in the year, but there is still no official word from Ford on this matter. The company's consumer site still lists the 2014 model's starting price as $39,200. In addition to the Leaf, the Focus Electric will also have to deal with the lower prices of smaller EVs including the Honda Fit EV, Fiat 500e and the Chevrolet Spark EV.
