Up for grabs with NO RESERVE this 1996 Eddie Bauer edition Ford Bronco with 59,241 original miles!! This was the last year of the Bronc and my favorite color combination! I love Broncos and have owned a lot of them over the years. This one is a keeper, but I need to free up some cash for an addition we are doing to our house to make room for child #5 on the way!! This Bronco runs and drives great, tires are good and ready to roll. I would have no problem loading my family in this Bronc and taking it across the country! Broncos with low miles in this condition are a rare find, so don't miss out!! The body on this Bronco is RUST FREE and the undercarriage and motor compartment are super clean. Interior is in great shape, no smoke smell, but the dash does have a few small cracks; see pics. The top is in good condition and doesn't appear to have ever been removed. Paint overall is in good condition with the exception of the "stars" in the original paint on the hood and a dime sized chip that has been touched up by driver door; see pics. No body damage to speak of other than minor scratches. Bronco has a clean Autocheck, I purchased it from a gentleman who found it at an estate sale in Colorado where it was purchased new. This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. Ford only automaker to make 2012 Buzz Rankings, Toyota most improved
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Ford landed itself a spot among the top 10 brands in the 2012 Buzz Rankings. The annual index scores 1,100 brands in 41 categories to determine which nameplates had the most positive buzz throughout the year.
For the third year in a row, Subway took the top honors overall with a score of 40.3, and Ford was the only automaker to break into the top 25 by earning a sixth-place finish overall. The manufacturer earned a score of 32.1 points, which was enough to push it up one spot from the 2011 Buzz Rankings. Honda managed 21.2 points overall, which is still well behind 25th-place Kohl's at 26.5 points. Toyota, Volkswagen and BMW all round out the top five automakers.
The 2012 Buzz Rankings also keep track of which brands improved the most over the past year, and this year, Toyota was the manufacturer with the largest leap forward. The Japanese automaker jumped from just 14 points in 2011 to 20.5 in 2012. Chrysler, Kia, Dodge and Volkswagen all saw sizable steps forward as well.
