1996 Ford Bronco Xlt Sport Sport Utility 2-door 5.8l on 2040-cars
Dandridge, Tennessee, United States
I have a 1996 Bronco 5.8 engine auto trans. It has a 6" superlift suspension lift on it with a superlift super runner steering system. It also has BDS dual steering stabilizers. Has newer 33x12.50x15 BF Goodrich allterains on 15x12 Alcoa aluminum wheels. wheels need polishing up. Has new radius arm bushings and 4 new ball joints installed. It does need an alignment now that all the new front end parts have been installed. Trans was just serviced and it does have a shift kit installed. Has a new gas tank & fuel pump and sender. Bronco runs and drives very well for a lifted truck. odometer shows 145k but it does have more miles on it so true miles are unknown. Body is in fair condition has a big dent on right rear qtr and a few rust spots along with hail damage on hood and the tailgate has bed covered in bedliner. Everything works a/c radio windows ect. Interior is in pretty good shape for a older bronco. Cool truck but I don't need it. With a little tlc this could be a real nice truck...Cash Payment is to be made within 7 days of auction close. Truck can driven home if you choose but if going very far I suggest the alignment/or trailer it or you will ruin the front tires.

V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150
Wed, 23 Jul 2014How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.

Ford open to diesel, hybrid or electric Mustang? [w/poll]
Sun, 08 Dec 2013The Ford Mustang may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. The arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new Mustang could do a lot to combat that perception, but the EcoBoost engine may just be the tip of the iceberg in that regard.
Speaking with Ford powertrain boss Bob Fascetti at the reveal of the new Mustang in Australia, GoAuto reports that the Blue Oval automaker is considering offering its latest pony car with a diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrain in the future.
"We're not looking at diesel at the moment, but given where we need to go with fuel consumption we are looking at all our options," said Fascetti. Other options could include a nine- or ten-speed automatic transmission to replace the current six-speed unit in order to help improve fuel economy and emissions for the Mustang, although figures for the current lineup have yet to be revealed.
Ford bondage ads reportedly trigger firings at Indian ad agency
Wed, 27 Mar 2013You will probably remember the ads for the Ford Figo hatchback in India, the ones that showcased the extra large boot of the little hatchback by joking that you can fit three of your enemies in the trunk. One of the ads had Michael Schumacher in the front seat, obviously pleased about having Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the back. But the other two had Paris Hilton and ex-Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi up front and three bound and gagged women in the back - in Hilton's case (shown above), it was the Kardashians.
This did not go over well, and Reuters reports that certain employees at JWT India have been fired over the matter. It is also reported that the images weren't actual advertisements, nor were they part of an actual campaign; JWT said they "were never intended for paid publication, were never requested by our Ford client." A JWT rep said the employees who created the ads did so on their own, Ford commented to Automotive News that the ads were "part of a creative exercise intended to test concepts for an advertising competition."
The problem, if the story is to be believed, is that the employees skipped the regular review protocols and uploaded their work to an ad industry site - they were found on Ads of the World. That page, like the employees, has been removed.
