2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. on 2040-cars

I have a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor for sale. It has 149999 miles on it and is Light Blue. The car does NOT run. It will need to be towed. I have had this car for a little over 2 years now and I have a lot of work to the vehicle over that time period. The reason I’m selling it is because the fuel pump went out. I took it to the shop to try to fix it but the mechanic found another problem. That there wasn't any power going to the relay that connects to the pump. So the guy tried to fix it but that did not solve the problem hence why I’m selling it. There are dents all over and rust on the wheel wells. Before the fuel pump went out it ran great, especially after the Trans was put in. Good car just need to get that pump situation fixed. Work and Parts I have had done over 2 years: Front and Rear Pads and Rotors (Fronts done twice) Inner and Outer tie rods both sides Alignment Oil Change done every 3,000 miles Regular tire rotations Aftermarket radio (Aux and USB ports) Water pump Lower Radiator Hose Thermostat Power Steering Hose 2 steel rims Added a spare tire Transmission O2 sensor Things wrong with car: Fuel Pump No power going to the Fuel Pump Relay Odometer (Reads 10mph more than it should) Battery ( I had planned on getting one soon) Passenger side door lock (Key Hole) needs to be replaced Trunk Lock ABS light on The power door locks do not work Air Conditioning needs to be recharged. |

There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
NHTSA closes investigations into Ford Taurus, Hyundai Santa Fe
Wed, 03 Jul 2013Ford and Hyundai are out from under the scrutinizing eyes of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after the government agency said it was closing investigations against both automakers over vehicle safety concerns.
Ford was being investigated for reported damaged speed control cables on Ford Taurus (shown above) and Mercury Sable models, both built between 2000 and 2003. Vehicles with the company's Duratec engines allegedly failed to allow owners to brake as expected. Owners lodged 100 complaints and were involved in five accidents, according to NHTSA records. The American automaker responded to the reports, and on June 21 of this year, said that it would inspect and repair all affected vehicles, regardless of the mileage.
Hyundai was under investigation for a reported loose fastener on the steering shaft of its 2011 Santa Fe (shown in the gallery below). After NHTSA launched its inquiry, the Korean automaker responded with its own investigation that yielded four affected vehicles. Following the inspection of 680 vehicles at its assembly plant, Hyundai said the issue was due to employee error and that no further defects have been found.
Ford taken to task by gov't for Chicken Tax end-around
Mon, 23 Sep 2013Ford is in a bit of a pickle for importing and selling Turkey-built Transit Connect cargo vans as passenger vehicles in the US, then converting them to commercial-vehicle specification stateside in an effort to bypass a 25-percent tax imposed on vehicles imported for commercial use. Automakers are required to pay a 2.5-percent tax on imported passenger vehicles.
The Blue Oval got into trouble for this in a January ruling in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials asked Ford to stop the practice of importing the Transit Connect vehicles with passenger seats, then removing and shredding them. Now Automotive News reports that Ford is appealing the ruling. The 25-percent "Chicken Tax," as the tariff is often called, is 50 years old and was enacted as a response to a German tariff on chickens. Like Ford, Chrysler bypasses the higher tariff, but it does so in a different manner. It partially disassembles Sprinter cargo vans before shipping them to the US, then rebuilds them at a plant in South Carolina.
But the ruling against Ford's strategy states that it "serves no manufacturing or commercial purpose" and is there to "manipulate the tariff schedule," Automotive News reports. As Ford's appeal goes through, it is importing the Transit Connect and paying the higher tax, hoping for a favorable outcome and planning to build the next-generation Transit Connect, which it plans to launch before the end of the year, in Spain.
