2003 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Movie Car

Here is a Crown Victoria with all the bells and whistles. This Crown Vic was a former police car of Florida. The police department only put 45,000 miles on it and then sold it to a movie studio for the production of the recent movie "STEP UP 4:REVOLUTION".(Also have the certificate of authenticity for the car that it was in that movie) After that movie I acquired it for local films here in Orange County. Since becoming a Movie Car the car has only had about 400 miles put on it and has over $2000 in new working Police equipment and $600 in performance parts. A/C, heater, radio and all devices work. As of now the car only has 46,020 miles on it and runs like new!

Equipment in the Vehicle

*Push bumper
*LED flashers in the grill
*1000watt speaker in the grill
*Drivers spotlight
*Jotto Desk custom center console
*Sho-Me Sirens and Air Horn
*Switch box with 4 12V lighter power points
*Cobra C/B Radio and PA system with m
ic
*Mic clip
*Receiver in console for light bar
*Cages on both rear windows
*Light bar in rear window
*Two antennas that can be placed anywhere
*Tom Tom GPS Navigation system
*4 new police rims with new shiny center caps
*4 new tires(only about 400 miles on them)
*Heavy duty rated Tow hitch

Performance Parts

Here is a list of the added performance parts on the car. I am willing to sell the car with stock parts instead of the performance parts for
$500 less but it is optional.

*K&N High performance Air intake
*Turbo in the intake
*Raizin battery stabilizer
*All new high performance coil packs

Tittle

I have the original clear tittle from the police department in Florida. Since being sold to the studios the car has not been registered for highway driving. If you plan to buy this car for filming and don't wish to have it registered you can hold on to the tittle until you wish to register or sell the vehicle. If you want to have the car registered here in California you can easily bring the tittle and have it registered.

Very low asking price considering everything listed
comes with the car. Its very clean and would make a great Security Car, Prop Police Car and simply and great and fun daily driver. The car is 100% road legal so everything can be kept on the car. I would also be willing to remove all equipment and performance parts and sell just the car if interested. I have the clear tittle in my hand and inspections are welcomed and recommended. The car is located near Knott's Berry Farm and the Buena Park mall. Come take a look whenever! If there are any questions please feel free to call, email or text!!

Good Luck!

Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."

Feds looking into Ford Explorer exhaust leak complaints

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

There may be a burgeoning problem with exhaust leaks in the 2011-2014 model year Ford Explorer. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is examining multiple complaints of a gasoline smell in the cabin of these SUVs. However, the exact cause of this problem is still unknown.
"The agency is reviewing all available data and will take appropriate action as warranted," said a NHTSA spokesperson in an email to Automotive News. Owners seem to generally complain on the regulator's website of the smell entering the cabin through the air vents. At this time, the government organization has not yet opened an official investigation into the problem, though. When it does begin inspecting vehicles, NHTSA posts a detailed breakdown of its public data online.
Similar problems have been reported about the Explorer in the past, though. In 2013, Ford issued a recall for the 2013 model year of the SUV due to a fuel leak that could cause drivers to smell a gasoline odor and repaired them again later for another possible leak. In response to Autoblog's questions, Ford responded via email: "We are not aware of a NHTSA investigation. We are currently reviewing the case and in the event that any action is required, we will address it promptly."

Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
