2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Formerly a New York State Police detective bureau vehicle, so the mileage is mostly highway. I bought the vehicle in 2010 and it had 104k miles on it at the time. Radiator was flushed at that time. Front seats have some stains, but no tears. Rear seat is vinyl. Floors are rubber. The spotlight works. There is one hole in the roof (3/4" antenna hole) that has a plastic plug in it. There is one small dent in front of the fuel door that was caused by the fuel door opening too far (damage was there when I purchased the vehicle, it is minor - see photo). Battery was replaced in 2011, and the tires were replaced in December 2012 and have full tread. There is a full size spare. The police dome light works and has a red LED bulb in it (the standard bulbs are too bright, and melt the dome lense if left on for extended periods). The driver's side seat has the eight way power adjustment but the passenger seat is not power. There is a minor squeek under the hood, which I believe is the serpentine belt - it speeds up when the engine revs up but slows down when you left off the pedal. The equipment that is currently in the vehicle will be removed prior to transfer of ownership unless the buy-it-now is used.
This vehicle is a daily driver, and the mileage will be a couple hundred miles higher upon transfer.
Equipment that will not transfer with the vehicle unless the buy it now is used is: Havis console; AMBER LED Traffic Adviser (directional arrow), which is mounted at the top of the rear window; Federal Signal speaker; Federal Signal PA640 control panel.

Ford Transit customs ready to work for SEMA
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Ford's booth at the SEMA Show this year looks to have two, big themes. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen takes on the 2015 Mustang to the event, and it's now also announcing five customized versions on the 2015 Transit to join the modded pony cars. Each of the vans shows off a different use for the spacious commercial vehicle, from plush luxury to offroad ruggedness.
You probably don't think of the Transit as hitting the trails, but that's just what the take on the design from the Vegas Off-Road Experience (pictured above) is for. The company gives people the opportunity to drive a desert race truck, and this custom is meant to drive them to events. It should be able to take on the terrain a little better with off-road wheels and tires and fender flares, but inside passengers get serious luxury thanks to a 60-inch LED TV and video game systems.
Alternatively the blazing red Designed Travel Transit (right) is all about long road trips. The interior features four captain's chairs with heating, cooling and massage functions, and there's a 4K 50-inch TV to watch. For a touch of added class, the floor is made from hickory.
Ford considering return to Le Mans with new EcoBoost LMP2
Mon, 21 Jul 2014If you want to see a Ford racing prototype, you need look no further than the United SportsCar Championship, where the Blue Oval fields two Daytona Prototypes powered by an EcoBoost-branded 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. But according to the latest rumors, that may not be enough for Ford, which has as much brand to promote overseas as it does back home.
That could be why Racer magazine is reporting that Ford may be poised to return to Le Mans in the coming years. As we all know, Ford competed at Le Mans in the mid-through-late '60s, bringing home four consecutive overall wins with the legendary GT40. The new program would not, according to Racer, seek to relive those glory days, but would instead compete for class wins in the LMP2 category.
Currently, LMP2 regulations are somewhat split between the United SportsCar Championship in North America on the one hand and ACO-sanctioned series like the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship on the other, but plans are underway for the regulations to be unified in time for the 2017 season. That could be when Ford is targeting its return, allowing it to compete on both sides of the Atlantic to maximize its exposure.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost already hitting 12-second quarters
Sun, 28 Sep 2014The arrival of a new Ford Mustang means many things to many people, but not least of them is drag racers. The pony car has always been a mainstay of the drag strip, and the Ford Racing team aims to carry that reputation forward with this latest generation. So it cooked up a few basic modifications on three new 'Stangs and headed to the strips at US 131 and Milan Dragway to see what they could coax out of 'em.
Impressively, the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT with a few modifications (but no forced induction) managed to clock a quarter-mile time of 11.77 seconds. Another Mustang GT fitted with a supercharger clocked a blistering 10.97 seconds. But just as intriguing was the modified EcoBoost model that, with only four cylinders and 2.3 liters of displacement, still passed the gates in just 12.56 seconds - nearly half a second better than expected. This with modification limited to a new subframe, half-shaft, drive shaft loops, exhaust, engine calibration, slicks, roll cage and bucket seat. Well done, boys.
