We are selling our 2004 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Its been in our family for about 2 years now, and due to a serious family illness, we are forced to sell it. It has about 112k miles, and it had about 84k when we bought it, so I've driven it enough to know the car. It has no known issues to speak of. Its been a fantastic car, and if it were not for this illness, I'd keep it. We thought of giving it to my son, but my wife thought a 250HP car might not be a good idea. (and shes right, this time. lol). It has p/w, p/l, COLD a/c, aftermarket am/fm/cd/with IPod jack. We had it painted when we first got it, due to the scratches from whomever took the police decals off it. Paint still looks good. It has the 4.6L police interceptor motor in it. There is a pretty big difference between the regular Crown Vic and a P71 interceptor. Some of those differences are: Heavy duty shock absorbers that offer a stiffer ride than the standard Crown Victoria, Police Interceptors also come with T-409 stainless steel dual exhaust systems without resonators. Standard Crown Victorias come with a stainless steel single exhaust system, Police Interceptors also have a reinforced frame and body mounts, The Police Interceptor is equipped with an external oil-to-engine-coolant oil cooler to reduce engine oil temperatures, allowing the vehicles to operate at high rpm/high loads for an extended period of time without the risk of engine oil overheating, The computer is tuned for more aggressive transmission shift points, and the transmission itself is built for firmer and harder shifts, On 2004 and newer models, P71s have a 200 Amp alternator and a 78 Amp heavy duty battery, just to name a few.
It really has been a great car. And if you are looking for a reliable daily driver that has been taken care of that won't cost you a fortune, this may be for you. I thank you for you taking the time to look at our car, and I wish you the best of luck with your search. And if you need additional information, PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. Thx again!!!

What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.

Ford builds one-off 50th anniversary Mustang Convertible for charity

Thu, 08 May 2014

At the New York Auto Show this year, Ford revealed a special-edition Mustang to honor the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples will be made, all of them fixed-roof coupes. But the Blue Oval automaker has just announced that it's also building a single 50 Years edition convertible that it will raffled off for charity.
The first production example of the new Mustang Convertible to roll off the line this fall, this one-off will pack many of the features on the 50 Years coupe, including its white paintjob, chrome trim, aluminum dashboard, two-tone upholstery, contrast stitching, special 19-inch wheels and special-edition badging throughout.
This unique cabrio will also be fitted with a special performance pack including Pirelli PZero rubber, Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential to help get the 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque from the 5.0-liter V8 through the six-speed manual transmission and down to the road. It'll also feature a serial plaque with the number 0001 of 0001 and chairman Bill Ford's signature.

2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
