Yes an amazing ULTRA CLEAN Crown Vic, former NYC Cab, now registered as a Passenger Promo vehicle for my company. This vehicle was purchased by me over a year ago to facilitate a contract with a dating website and gentleman's club that lasted a year. The contract is now over and we have no use for this vehicle. In the last 12 months this vehicle as been meticulously maintained, and suffice to say this car is like a tank that runs marvelously well and is totally reliable. To begin with the car is completely road worthy and can travel anywhere in these great United States with no work needed. The car has had a new tune-up, all fluid changes, brand new tires with less than 1000 miles on them, new battery with Ford Warranty, brand new intake manifold and intake housing, two new oxygen sensors, new radiator, high output alternator and starter, and brand new brakes. All electronics work as they should including the power windows, door locks, radio and wipers front and back air-conditioning and all glass and lights. The car was recently inspected in the state of NY as being completely road worthy and has a valid inspection sticker until December of 2013. The car has tremendous acceleration and amazing good fuel economy effortlessly shifting through the gears and turning and handling to factory specifications. The car amazingly gets around 28 miles per gallon in overdrive and on the high way with long trips. This very unique Crown Vic also has front bumper card wraps and a rear bumper cover steel guard rail welded for additional protections from would be bumper scrapes. This equipment makes it drive like a tank! Available in the auction is the bubble light up promo piece on top of the Crown Vic for an additional $500.00 and is not included in the auction. The two bucket seats in the front are in excellent condition and the rear seat is flawless, and there is also a rear divider included in the auction but can easily be removed if the new owner wants it out. All in all this vehicle has been a very reliable and trusted vehicle and has served us well, and will service its new owners with simple regular maintenance as we have repaired or replaced most expendable parts. This car is sold as is where is, and we reserve the right to sell it locally at our discretion. Cal me or text me with any questions to, 516-473-8399. Al is my name. Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.
Meet Floyd Pullin, 102-year-old honorary president of Ford trucks [w/video]
Wed, 28 Aug 2013When we talk about trucks we often talk about how loyal truck owners are; it's men like Floyd Pullin who provide the proof. The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX.
That's the 16th Ford he's owned. If he bought his first when he was 16, he'd have flipped into a new car or truck about every five years. For 86 years. Not a bad run of business for either side.
Ford Trucks made a video to wish Pullin a happy birthday, which was celebrated at his local Ford dealership and was visited by a Pennsylvania state senator. You can watch it below.
Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.
