Cortland, Ohio, United States
Up for Sale is this 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with Street Appearance Package. It was owned by the Federal Government assigned as a take home unit for one Agent. It ONLY has 71,000 Miles with ONLY 394 idling hours. This P71 is not even broken in yet!!! It could easily be put back to service as a Patrol Unit with ease. The exterior is White and in great shape with minor scratches. There is a minor spot on the roof were the clear coat peeled off. It is a minor and easy fix. Absolutely
NO RUST. Underneath area is very clean and dry with no leaks of any kind. The
interior is dark gray in great shape w/no rips, or stains. It comes with a
heavy duty black rubber floor that is in great shape with no rips or stains. Very easy
to clean!!! I have been selling government owned vehicles since 1988. This P71 is by no means one of the best ones I've ever came across, I truly mean it. Bid with absolute confidence. I have done all the leg work for you. I always take my time when I am looking for my next P71. I personally traveled to pick this unit and drove it back approx. 435miles. In addition, every time I purchase a vehicle I tend to take my personal mechanic with me to pick the best P71. Mechanically this P71 is trouble free and needs nothing. It drives strong and tight with absolutely no noises and very powerful. It feels as if you are driving a new car! The great aspect about this P71 is that it looks like its an older man's car/family car, but at the same time it has a very powerful engine, super fast, reliable, and most importantly built like a tank. The fact that it has a powerful V8, 4.6 engine, and a full size sedan that seats six adults it actually has a great gas mileage of 26miles/gallon highway. Upon request, I could show you how to get specific modifications to dramatically increase the HP and improve your gas mileage. I don't trust my family being in any other cars except my P71. Being a full size sedan and a full size frame makes this P71 very strong and it feels like tank and could take on a beating if God forbids someone crashes into you. From a safety perspective, this is a great family car. It would also make a great first car for older teens. going to college. I love making my customers very proud and happy getting what they want and what they deserve for their money. Every single dollar you spend buying one of my P71s is worth it. Please feel free to fly in through Cleveland or Pittsburg International airports. I will personally meet with you and pick you up. Clear title ready to be transferred. Please. Feel free to contact me through eBay or call me at (773)255-9856 for any further questions. Ask for Neil. This P71 is listed locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any given time. Thank you so much for your time and interest. Sincerely, Neil

2015 Ford Focus gets more Aston-y [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014With more and more members of the Ford brand adopting a new familial face, the Focus has been left looking like an odd man out. At the Geneva Auto Show, though, it properly rejoined the family, adopting the now familiar Aston Martin-ish grille that's proliferated throughout the range.
Overall, we're liking the refreshed Focus' look. Aside from the new grille, the headlights have been restyled and now look like elongated versions of the lamps on the Focus ST. Functionally, those headlamps are bi-xenon units, complete with an adaptive front lighting system. Out back, the rear retains the same overall look, which has been smoothed out for 2015.
In the cabin, the second-generation of Ford's much-maligned Sync system makes its debut. Sync 2, as it's called, is supposedly more intuitive than the first-gen system. Ford is promising "one-shot" navigation functions for the system. Saying "I'm hungry," should bring up a list of nearby restaurants. Of course, we'll be reserving final judgment until we can test the new system in person.
Car companies used to cook up sales with recipe books
Fri, 08 Aug 2014The evolution of automotive marketing has undergone a number of strange phases. Few, though, match the strangeness of the 1930s to 1950s, when automotive marketers turned to cookbooks as a means of promoting their vehicles. Yes, cookbooks. We can't make this stuff up, folks.
This bizarre trend led to General Motors distributing cookbooks under the guise of its then-subsidiary Frigidaire. Ford, meanwhile, offered a compilation of recipes from Ford Credit Employees (shown above). The cookbook-craze wasn't limited to domestic manufacturers, though. As The Detroit News discovered, both Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen got in on the trend, although not until the 1970s.
The News has the full story on this strange bit of marketing. Head over and take a look.
Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Scroll down to hear a few people from Ford talk about the crosspollination between its racing and engine teams and watch the EcoBoost get red hot on the dyno.
