One owner vehicle history report. We have the vehicle history report on file and will forward it to you upon request. This vehicle was owned and operated by the department of Homeland Security here in El Paso, Texas. It has spent it's life in the sunny southwest. It has never been driven on salted roads.  NO RUST. The mileage reads 16771. The title will reflect those miles but it will be marked as TMU or true miles unknown.  I bought this car at a government auction and the batteries were dead at the time of the sale.   The auction couldn't get a mileage reading.  When we put a fresh battery in the car the odometer showed 16000 miles and 98 engine idle hours.  The interior is black cloth with a black vinyl rear seat. The floor is black vinyl. The interior is in excellent shape. The power windows, power locks, power driver seat, cruise control, tilt wheel,  power lumbar support,CD stereo, traction control, rear window defroster, power side view mirrors and power trunk release all work as they should. This car has the limited slip rear differential. The 4.6 litre 250 horsepower police interceptor motor has awesome power and starts and runs great. The transmission shifts crisp and smooth. The brakes have been inspected and are in good shape. The suspension is good and the car handles very well. Full size spare and jack kit. The tires are in decent shape. The body in is good shape with only minor nicks and scratches. We had this car inspected for structual damage and found none. This P71 was involved in a fender bender late in 2009. It was driven to the storage facility at La Tuna and has basically been parked there ever since. That's why the miles are so low. NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.

Ford is ending Australian production after 90 years in 2016, and with it may go perhaps the most iconic vehicles in its auto market - the ute. Car-based pickup trucks like the Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino were always more of a curiosity than a true market force here, but in Australia, they have long proven hugely popular.
As the legend goes, Ford invented the niche after a farmer's wife had asked Ford Australia's managing director for a more utilitarian car. Her request was simple: "My husband and I can't afford a car and a truck but we need a car to go to church on Sunday and a truck to take the pigs to market on Monday. Can you help?"
Ford's design team came up with a two-passenger, enclosed, steel coupe body with glass windows and a steel-paneled, wooden-frame load area in the rear. The sides of the bed were blended into the body to make it look more unified, and to keep costs down, the front end and interior were based on the Ford Model 40 five-window coupe. Power came from a V8 with shifting chores handled by a three-speed manual. Within a year, the new vehicle was ready, and production began in 1934. Lead designer Lewis Bandt christened it the coupe-utility.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.
