This is a 1978 Customized E-150 van with 55,000 original miles. It spent most of its life in storage with limited driving time but has spent the last couple years on the road. The interior is done up with crushed red velvet walls, carpet, a small bar, cabinetry, an ice box refrigerator, mural mirror, captains chairs, a custom stereo and several decorative lights. The exterior is also in great condition for its age except for a couple of small dings on the passenger side. The van runs and has many recently replaced parts. It does have some mechanical issues which I've tried to outline. Below I've made some lists breaking down the cars specifications, features, and any issues it has. Feel free to contact with any request for additional information.

Exterior Concerns (Also See Pictures):
A Couple Of Small Dents on The Passenger Side That Have Been Patched
Middle Guide For The Slighting Door Needs to Be Fixed or Replaced (The Wheel It Rolls on Snapped Off, I Still Have The Wheel, Door Can Function Still)
The "Speak Easy Three" Text on The Side is Vinyl Lettering Which Can Be Removed

New Mechanical Parts ( Replaced Within Last 2-Years):
All New Rods and Lifters
Alternator
Carburetor
Fuel Pump
Brake Master Cylinder
Front Brakes (Rotors Resurfaced)
Battery
New Spark Plugs and Wires

Mechanical Concerns:
Exhaust (Rusted From Muffler Back)
Clutch (Still Works But Is Noisy and Sometimes Has Difficulty Entering Reverse)
Idle (Idle Issues, Sometimes Tries To Stall When In Neutral, Likely A Carb Issue But Needs Troubleshooting)
No A/C (Not Broken, Just Never Has Had A/C)

I hope these lists have helped clarify everything about the vehicle. The reason I am selling is because it is not practical for what I need at the moment and I cannot afford to keep it and get alternate transportation at the time. Due to concerns about the clutch and idle I would not recommend attempting to drive it a long distance for pick-up. However, the van does run and any local drive would be possible. Again feel free to contact me with any additional concerns or questions.

Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost sales robust in early going

Tue, 13 May 2014

Okay, okay, okay, so I was just a smidge wrong. Those that read my review of the Ford Fiesta with the new 1.0-liter, EcoBoost engine will know that while I really enjoyed the torquey little three-cylinder, I was concerned that Ford's decision to force 1.0-liter owners into a manual transmission, steel wheels and one trim level might hurt sales of the new engine. I was also concerned that the promised 45-mile-per-gallon highway rating wouldn't be enough to tempt buyers into trying an engine that's so far outside of what the general public is use to. My concerns, though, seem to have been for naught.
While not doing a booming business on the triple-equipped Fiesta, Ford is seeing a take rate of four to eight percent per month in the engine's first few months on sale. Now, four to eight percent might not sound like a lot - if, like last year, the Fiesta sells around 71,000 units, there'd be barely 5,600 1.0-liter models on the road. It is also small potatoes relative to the take rate on EcoBoost-equipped vehicles across the Ford range, which US sales analyst Erich Merkle estimates to be roughly 35 to 40 percent of retail sales. Still, according to The Detroit News, the 1.0-liter is getting adopted at roughly the same rate as the sparkling Fiesta ST, which should be a solid indication of just how well this little engine is doing.
The 1.0-liter's success "really speaks volumes, not just to what we're doing with the Fiesta, but with EcoBoost in general," Merkle told Autoblog.

2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost to hit 45 mpg for $16,445*

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

When Ford first announced its plan to put the 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the 2014 Fiesta, it promised hybrid-like fuel economy without a hybrid-like premium. We're still waiting for official specs on this engine, but thanks to the EPA's fueleconomy.gov website and Ford's retail site, we now know what customers can expect in terms of both fuel economy and price.
All along, Ford has said that it expects the 1.0-liter EcoBoost to get more than 40 miles per gallon on the highway, and now the EPA backs this up with official ratings of 32 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. These numbers are an increase of two mpg city and four mpg hwy compared to the current fuel-sipping Fiesta (the 1.6 SFE), and it also beats other three-cylinder cars for highway mileage like the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage (44 mpg highway) and 2014 Smart Fortwo (38 mpg highway); the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost is lower than both three-pot rivals, though, in city fuel economy with the Mitsubishi getting 37 mpg city and the Smart rated at 34 mpg city. This model handily beats high-volume small cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Chevy Spark in both city and highway numbers.
As for pricing, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered on both the sedan and hatchback as a $995 option called the SE Manual EcoBoost package, which is aptly named since it's only offered on SE trim-level Fiestas equipped with a manual transmission. Along with the engine, the package also comes with 15-inch steel wheels, regenerative brakes and a decklid spoiler on the sedan. This means the four-door Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost will start at $16,445*, or $17,045* for the hatchback (*not including $795 for destination).

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.
