Hello up for auction is our 1999 Ford E150 Hightop conversion van with the 5.4 Triton V8. It is in really great shape with no signs of rust. A/C blows ice cold and heat works excellent. There is some cracks in the ground effect. But then again it is 14 years old. Also has a little clear coat peeling on the hightop part. Mechanically it is excellent shape. Needs nothing! I wouldn't hesitate driving it across country. It does have new Goodyear tires I purchased 2 months ago. The interior is tan leather and in very nice shape with signs of wear on the driver seat. However it did have a brand new seat cover included when bought new. Very nice wood grain with captains chairs and a bed that fold down in the back. There is a tv and vcr in it but the tv has no picture. The carpet does have a few stains but with a shampoo they should all come out. I was just gonna put hardwood floors in to match the other wood grain throughout the van. It has just over 110, 000 miles on it. I have owned it about a year and a half and have always ran mobil 1 full synthetic whi h the previous owner did aswell. Only selling cause we don't use as much as I thought we would. It is a very nice vehicle for traveling. Please view pictures and ask questions before bidding. Your more than welcome to come look it over before bidding.. I have tried to describe the condition to the best of my ability. Any questions just ask. Thanks Mike 815 two nine seven 4601. Will have a full tank when you pick it up. Buyer is responceable for shipping. Also included is the headphones for the rear and a car cover that  covers the entire van.

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.

Ford considering return to Le Mans with new EcoBoost LMP2

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

If you want to see a Ford racing prototype, you need look no further than the United SportsCar Championship, where the Blue Oval fields two Daytona Prototypes powered by an EcoBoost-branded 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. But according to the latest rumors, that may not be enough for Ford, which has as much brand to promote overseas as it does back home.
That could be why Racer magazine is reporting that Ford may be poised to return to Le Mans in the coming years. As we all know, Ford competed at Le Mans in the mid-through-late '60s, bringing home four consecutive overall wins with the legendary GT40. The new program would not, according to Racer, seek to relive those glory days, but would instead compete for class wins in the LMP2 category.
Currently, LMP2 regulations are somewhat split between the United SportsCar Championship in North America on the one hand and ACO-sanctioned series like the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship on the other, but plans are underway for the regulations to be unified in time for the 2017 season. That could be when Ford is targeting its return, allowing it to compete on both sides of the Atlantic to maximize its exposure.

Ford GT40 makes historic return to racing at Goodwood

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Is there a more iconic, American racecar than the Ford GT40? That may be a discussion for another day (although by all means, tell us how wrong we are in Comments), but this video of heaps of GT40s running in the Goodwood Revival races certainly has us thinking that Ford's Ferrari-killer might just be the best racer the Land Of The Free and Home Of The Brave has ever come up with.
That's completely ignoring the fact that the GT40 was largely developed by Brits using American money, but that's besides the point (there was also a rather brash Texan, who had a big role later in development). The resulting vehicle was dominant, besting the cars of Il Commendatore from 1966 to 1969, although it should be noted that Ford's GT40 was unable to beat Ferrari in its first two Le Mans outings in 1964 and 1965.
Those four years of dominance, which started with Ford sweeping the podium, were enough to establish the GT40's legend. And now, here we are almost 50 years later, celebrating the mid-engined monsters at Goodwood, in their first ever one-make race. Take a look below for the entire video.
