You are looking at a 2000 Ford E-350 Utility Cargo Van with a rare Quigley 4X4 conversion. Quigley is a company that takes factory new vans and trucks and puts a 4X4 conversion on them. It has a front axle and differential, upgraded brakes, 17" wheels and tires, upgraded suspension with an approximate 3.5" lift, and a larger fuel tank. This is a utility van that will really make it anywhere for you. It has the stock Ford 5.4L V-8 Engine with an automatic transmission. The van runs and drives very good, and the 4-wheel drive works great. It's a 2 passenger van with a cage and door between the cab and cargo area. The cargo area is set up with shelves and tool boxes. It has cold A/C, AM/FM stereo, and cruise. It has average wear for the year and miles with some minor scratches and dings (one larger ding on the passenger side door)- see pics. There is little to no rust, no holes or damage and it looks good underneath. It looks to us like it has had some minor paint work. It has a good PA inspection until Jan 2015. Ford to hack $4k off price of Focus EV amid slow sales
Wed, 10 Jul 2013Between slow sales and a hefty price drop for its nearest rival, the Ford Focus Electric may be looking at a pretty substantial price cut. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will drop the price of the all-electric by about $4,000 to $35,200 to be more competitive with the Nissan Leaf, which received a big price cut for 2013 down to $28,800.
Ford has already admitted to having low expectations for the car's sales and massive rebates were reported earlier in the year, but there is still no official word from Ford on this matter. The company's consumer site still lists the 2014 model's starting price as $39,200. In addition to the Leaf, the Focus Electric will also have to deal with the lower prices of smaller EVs including the Honda Fit EV, Fiat 500e and the Chevrolet Spark EV.
Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
