You are looking at a 2008 Ford E-150 Cargo Van. We are selling it "as-is, where-is." This van is very, very clean inside and out and runs and drives great. It has the optional 255HP, 5.4L V-8 and an automatic tranny. Ice cold A/C. Body is very clean with just a few small paint chips on the hood & right rear door (see pics). Ladder racks on the roof and a tow package. Inside is a locking tool box with drawers and compartments in the back. The rear is divided from the passenger compartment with a locking door. All keys included. The interior, both cab and cargo area are really super clean and very well taken care of. Inside and out you cannot tell this van has 200K miles on it. It has power windows, doors and mirrors. Only thing we found was the airbag light was on - airbags have Not been deployed - probably a sensor, we're going to look into getting the light cleared before it sells. Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy
Tue, 07 May 2013With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.
Ford builds one-off 50th anniversary Mustang Convertible for charity
Thu, 08 May 2014At the New York Auto Show this year, Ford revealed a special-edition Mustang to honor the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples will be made, all of them fixed-roof coupes. But the Blue Oval automaker has just announced that it's also building a single 50 Years edition convertible that it will raffled off for charity.
The first production example of the new Mustang Convertible to roll off the line this fall, this one-off will pack many of the features on the 50 Years coupe, including its white paintjob, chrome trim, aluminum dashboard, two-tone upholstery, contrast stitching, special 19-inch wheels and special-edition badging throughout.
This unique cabrio will also be fitted with a special performance pack including Pirelli PZero rubber, Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential to help get the 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque from the 5.0-liter V8 through the six-speed manual transmission and down to the road. It'll also feature a serial plaque with the number 0001 of 0001 and chairman Bill Ford's signature.
