This is a very good condition 2011 E150 Cargo Std length van, 4.6L gas engine, automatic, p/ locks & windws. It only has 24000 miles, runs pefectly. NO issues..ready to work TODAY. Here's the story: This was a fleet van..it was hit in the rear and damaged both rear doors, the rear bumper, and the RR corner of the body..NO OTHER DAMAGE. So we replaced the rear doors, replaced the bumper ( put a chrome one on instead of the black stock one ) and repaired the RR corner. See the photo before and after to see how minimal the damage was and how well it fixed. Everything lines up and operates with no problems. Has some racks built inside. Tires are very good. Again, it needs NOTHING..ready to drive cross country..It did get a salvage title due to the accident, so check with your DMV on what you may need to register it in your state. No problem in CA. and we will reg it for you FREE ( no service / DOC fee )..If you want, fly into San Diego airport, we'll pick you up ( free of course ) IN YOUR NEW VAN...you'll see it right then and there at the airport. Then we can test drive it 30 miles back to my office so you can check out how well it drives..straight and true, no pulling, no vibration, steering wheel is straight. Just detailed, clean, polished and looking SHARP! Check my feedback, I sell QUALITY vehicles all around the country and several overseas ( Guam, Malaysia, Sweden, Switzerland, Russian Federation , more ) and I maintain a perfect record on 14 years of eBay selling! PLUS I'm a licensed and bonded dealer ( CA= $50,000 bond! ) to assure you of proper performance with your title, etc. I will send a copy of my license and bond to any buyer so they know they're protected..I have sold over 500 salvage title vehicles, I cherry pick only the best cars and trucks, and my reputation shows that..any questions, CALL ME! Stu Foster 619-315-8428...have a ( reasonable ) offer? CALL ME! Lets make a deal we're both happy with...thx for looking!

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is a Gulfstream for the road

Sat, 12 Apr 2014

If you are afraid to fly or just want to arrive at your ultimate destination in absolute comfort, then the Ford Transit Skyliner concept might be the perfect vehicle for you. Built by Galpin Auto Sports and based on a 2015 Transit, the van is basically a private jet on wheels. It even has a touch of Transformers about it with the ability to switch between four modes by pressing a button in a smartphone app.
Based on the long wheelbase, high-roof model with 487 cubic feet of cargo space and 6 feet, 9.5 inches of interior height, the Skyliner has movable captains chairs that shift around among four modes. In theater mode, the seats turn and recline to face a 52-inch retractable movie screen with 7.2 surround sound. For business, a motorized table unfolds, and the chairs gather around it. There is a mode for tailgating where the door opens four-feet wide, and, when traveling, passengers can recline back with footrests that extend for maximum comfort.
To make the ride even plusher, there is a satellite and media server to meet your entertainment needs, and there is even a built-in bar in the back. If this Ford had a bathroom, you could live in it. Of course, you would need to hire a driver to enjoy all the amenities in the back.

2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.

Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.
