Up for auction is our 2003 mobile pet grooming van. Eyecatching graphics all around, professionally applied, will do your advertising for you!  Very comfortable to work in. Master Groomers tub, big enough for large dogs. Heavy duty wooden/carpeted stairs that lead up to the tub, great for those big dogs that are way too heavy to be lifted. Stairs can be removed if buyer prefers the space to put cages or chairs instead. 40 gal hot water heater keeps water nice and warm throughout the day, 35 gal gray water tank. Built in grooming table with storage underneath and behind it. Also lots of storage under the tub. Well built and solid, no loud rattling when going down the road. K-9 2 speed dryer included. Side windows open up from the bottom for a nice cross breeze. Front and rear air from the truck itself but there is an escape hatch that a roof top air conditioner could go in if preferred.

Inverter runs all lights, water and outlets. One switch to turn inverter on from the inside of van. Back of van holds 6 golf cart batteries that powers the inverter. In the evening I plug the batteries into a huge charger (included in sale) and charge the batteries overnight. The water heater gets filled with water and then gets plugged into a 220 outlet to heat overnight.   I currently groom mostly small/medium dogs and do 4-6 per day and the inverter powers everything all day. The dryer pulls the most power and if it does run low at the end of the day, plugging the dryer into the customers garage/outside outlet is always a choice. The best thing about this system, is NO NOISE and NO FILLING THE GENERATOR WITH GAS!  Our previous grooming van had the generator and I prefer the inverter system, hands down.

Maintanence has always been done on a routine basis and van is a very good runner. Starts every time, runs smooth. Easy to drive. Approx 10-11 MPG, tires in good condition.

Only dents are a 'ding' on the passenger side rear wheel well, approx 4" long.

If you are a pet groomer and  want to go mobile, or need a second van, this is the one for you!

Reborn Ford Escort could make its way to Europe

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

The Ford Escort concept just unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show was created with the Chinese market in mind, but it's got people talking all over the world. Not purely fancy, the point of the Escort concept was to give Chinese buyers a preview of what they could expect to see in a Ford showroom in the near future. If Ford wasn't seriously considering the new Escort for other countries, a report in Auto Express indicates that the concept's reception has changed all that.
No less than the incoming chairman of Ford UK said "it could work in other places," bolstering the comments of "a senior Ford insider" who said the question of bringing the car to Europe to slot in underneath the Focus had been raised. That's a long way from anything of the kind happening, which would require Ford to figure out how to sell it for the right price and not torpedo the company reputation among Euro buyers. In any case, we'd be as intrigued as anyone if an Escort resurrection created the next 'who knew?' market segment of few-frills transportation offered by non-Asian carmakers.

Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.

"It's about some of the biggest crises in history. It's about who did it right and who did it wrong." - Jason Vines
Jason Vines, the former head of public relations at Chrysler, Ford and Nissan, has seen a lot during his more than 30-year career, and now he's offering a behind-the-scenes look at the auto industry in his tell-all book What Did Jesus Drive? that went on sale this month.
