Hello, I have decided to sell my 65 Ford Econoline Pickup. These are a rare breed that were only made for several years. Not many of them around that are in this condition. This one has many upgrades. To list some of them.....New 5.0L high performance engine. A new 3 speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. New brake lines, fuel lines, gas tank, and all the custom fabrication to install the above. New tires, old school rims (need re-chromed). New windows, new seals...ect.. This is a great running and driving old school pickup that gets attention where-ever it goes. There's many upgrades that I haven't taken the time to list. It's a great driver, and will run down the highway perfect at todays highway speeds. Oh almost forgot it has a new vintage heat and air-conditioner installed and will freeze you out. Everything is new and operates as it should. If your looking for that one vehicle that no one has at the car show this is the one. The paint could use a freshening up but it does show nicely now.........THANKS FOR LOOKING.....CONTACT#785-214-9599..........P.S. I have receipts for most of the work done.....Check my Feedback I don't sell junk..........I've had several questions so I want to add that it has NEW Disc Brakes up front and New Drum in the rear. The suspension is rebuilt stock 1/2 ton. Let go the steering wheel and it travels straight down the highway. New dual exhaust, sounds great. Runs and drives perfect (NO ISSUES). I would not hesitate to drive cross country, and have a blast doing it....THANKS

Ford, Renault, VW shareholder oppose French aid for PSA/Peugeot-Citro"en
Mon, 29 Oct 2012Pots and kettles, glass houses and stones - that's a little of what we appear to have going on in the European car market. New reports say that that three European automakers have registered their opposition to a loan deal that PSA/Peugeot-Citroën is working on with the French government. Peugeot's finance arm, Banque PSA Finance, is struggling with its debts and has been downgraded by Moody's to its lowest investment-grade classification, one step above junk. This makes it more expensive for a potential buyer to finance a car through Peugeot. The last thing Peugeot needs is more difficulty selling cars in the tough European market, and the situation will only worsen if the bank's credit worthiness takes another hit.
A deal being worked on would have the French government offer €7 billion ($9B U.S.) in bonds to guarantee the bank's loans, which would give the institution some breathing room to manage its debts and lower its interest rates. Outside of that, a group of banks would provide other, non-guaranteed loans to the bank to further help its position. In exchange for state help, though, the government wants seats on Peugeot's board for worker representatives and a government liaison, along with factory and worker guarantees. The Peugeot family would maintain control of the company.
So what we have is government assistance being provided to a car company's finance arm, akin to the way General Motors' GMAC (now Ally Financial) and Chrysler Financial got help in their time of need. What we also have is Ford and Renault, and Germany's State of Lower Saxony, the second-largest shareholder in Volkswagen, voicing their concern about the proposal, because they say it could create an unfair competitive advantage for Peugeot. Everyone in Europe's down market is fighting for every sale, and if Peugeot gets help to keep its auto loan costs down, it figures to help buyers choose Peugeot or Citroën.
40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings
Thu, 31 Jul 2014The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.
