2006 Ford Escape XLT

3.0 V-6 engine - gets about 20mpg city and 24mpg highway
Front wheel drive; drives great in the snow
About 101,000 miles

This vehicle was originally a company car, driven exclusively by a coworker of mine. He took excellent care of it. I purchased it from the company in 2009 with 65,000 miles.

I just completed the 100,000 mile service: spark plugs, coil boots, intake manifold gasket, oil change, complete inspection. I always maintained the car with Motorcraft filters and semi-synthetic oil of the correct viscosity. I am very particular about the care of my vehicles and maintained this car myself. I have some records from when the car was still a corporate owned vehicle, and an Excel spreadsheet of the maintenance I have done.

The brakes on this car have lots of life left. The tires were replaced about 5,000 miles ago with Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires. They look almost brand new still. The battery was replaced this winter with a NAPA 75-month battery.

Features include:
6- disc MP3 changer
Power windows, door locks, driver seat
Cruise control
Premium alloy wheels
Factory towing package
Automatic transmission
Ford Safety Package- side airbags, etc.

This car has been extremely reliable for us; the majority of the miles were from long highway trips. As a result, it looks and drives like a car with much less mileage. Non-smoker: the interior is fresh and clean. Exterior is nearly perfect with just one small ding on the driver's side above the rear fender (see in photo).

The car is located in Westerville, Ohio- a suburb of Columbus. I will accept cash or cashier's check from a bank with verification. Asking $8,850.

Ford pits The Stig against Gran Turismo 6 in Focus ST Goodwood run

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world great automotive gatherings. So, it was the perfect event for Ford to give the refreshed 2015 Focus ST its world debut in front of a loving public. It even surprised us with a new diesel-powered version, as well.
The Blue Oval really put its focus on making the ST a better driver for this refresh. It left its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder alone to still pump out a respectable 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The changes like a retuned front suspension, electric power steering and improved interior made the hot hatch an even better place to spend time behind the wheel.
To prove that the Focus ST is still as potent as ever, Ford set up a one-on-one race up the Goodwood Hill. But instead of putting the two cars side-by-side, former Stig from Top Gear UK, Ben Collins, piloted the real model up the course, and his rival drove the virtual version in Gran Turismo 6. The two hot hatches set off at the same time to see whether reality could beat the virtual world, and the finish was actually extremely close. Scroll down to watch the video and find out the winner of this battle at Goodwood.

Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.

Ford unveils next-gen S-Max in Europe

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

Let's get this unfortunate though important tidbit out of the way right off the bat: The Ford S-Max isn't sold in the United States, and it's not coming here, at least not anytime soon. And so it's with our European friends in mind that we share this information about the next-gen S-Max (previewed about a year ago in concept form) that is set to debut all across Europe next year and will be shown off at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Now, moving on...
As with the first-gen S-Max, the new model will boast seating for seven passengers, along with a decent amount of storage space, all packed into a relatively reasonably sized package. Powering the front wheels (or optionally all four) will be the buyer's choice of EcoBoost gasoline-turbocharged or turbo-diesel four-cylinder engines along with automatic and manual transmission options. Included in the mix is a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost with 160 horsepower, though the 240-horse 2.0 is likely to be seen as the headliner.
There are all kinds of new technologies on offer, ranging from Adaptive Steering to Dynamic LED Headlamps with Glare-Free Highbeams, and it's all housed inside new, more sleekly designed bodywork riding atop a chassis with new suspension architecture designed to make the S-Max a people-hauler that's still fun to drive. For all the details, we suggest you scroll down below to read through Ford's official press release.
