This one owner SUV has been regularly serviced per the Ford recommendations.
All service records are available. It has never been in an accident.
This vehicle is mechanically flawless and all accessories work perfectly
Tires are at least 75% life, and rotated regularly.

There are 113,500 miles on it, but they are all highway miles. On the highway, using regular (no alcohol) unleaded, the MPG approaches 28 on the interstate, and I have seen it at 31 on 55 MPH roads. I have consistently burned regular unleaded, and there have only been a handful of times it has had E10 ('Super' grade with alcohol) fuel. On this particular vehicle, the MPG is 10% or higher or better using regular.

I have taken good care of this car, it only has minor exterior imperfections - a few rock chips on the front nose of the hood, a small scrape where a truck backed into the front bumper at a stop light, a small scratch in the paint by the passenger side mirror. The interior is about the same, with the usual wear and tear of someone who spends a lot of time in their vehicle. The vehicle has not ever been smoked in.

The vehicle will be detailed before it is handed over to the winning/paying bidder. The title was paid in full in June and it will be in our hands by the time this transaction is over. Should you need it shipped, I will help load it on the transport of your choice, but do not have a preferred company.

This has been a great vehicle for us, but it is time to downsize.

Europe's most-wanted classic car is... the Ford Mustang?

Sat, 28 Sep 2013

Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 - a new and used car shopping site in Europe - polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.
In the whole of Europe, 37 percent of those polled dream of owning a Mustang, but that number jumps in individual countries like Austria (42 percent) and Spain (41 percent). Rounding out the top five popular classics in Europe are the Mini and Citroën 2CV. Find out which cars made up the rest of the top 10 in the press release posted below.

Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
