2001 - Ford Excursion on 2040-cars

This is a 2001 Ford Excursion Limited. 7.3 Diesel, 4x4. It has been the best all around vehicle I have ever owned. Our family is smaller now and she just doesn’t get driven much anymore, so it is time to find her a new home. The trucks condition is good to excellent, but it does have some imperfections as should be expected in a used vehicle. I will try to mention them all and include pictures where I can, but the truck is being sold as-is, so contact me to inspect for yourself before bidding. Hard to find 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo diesel loaded with options: power leather heated driver’s seat manual heated passenger seat power locks/ windows heated power side mirrors separate front and rear climate controls keyless entry Viper alarm tow Package tilt steering front/rear defrost Am / fm / cassette / CD engine hour counter window / vent visors fog lights wheel locks back up sensors locking gas cap hood protector cargo mat and cargo net Interior: The interior is very good with the exception of 2 seat imperfections and some scratches in the cargo area. One seat imperfection is the side of the drivers’ seat and the other is the seat directly behind the driver (pictures included). Exterior: There is some roof rust and fading to the cargo rack, and there is some rust inside the rear driver’s side door. There are also some minor imperfections such as small scratches as well as one small ding that had been touched up at some point (on top of driver’s side fender near hood). Since the last listing I also got a written estimate from Maaco for the 2 rust spots, just email if you'd like to see it. Mechanical: Mechanically the vehicle has been great and has never failed me. There is a problem with the rear drivers’ side tire that the shop just can not get balanced correctly and it will need to be replaced. It is not noticeable when driving until you get to 60 mph. The other tires are in excellent condition with lots of tread left. I have always used rotella oil and have changed it, the oil filter, and the air filter religiously every 5000 miles since purchase. The only non OEM additions I have made to the truck are the Viper alarm, locking gas cap, the floor mats, and the rear cargo mat. The previous owner had installed an engine hour counter that currently shows 5760.7 hours. Truck is still used occasionally and is available for short test drives, so mileage and hours may go up slightly before auction end. Feel free to contact me with questions.
