Up for sale is an exceptionally clean diesel Excursion. I am the second owner. The 6.0 diesel has had all
"bulletproofing" and reliability mods completed using the correct/best parts. I have receipts for everything to
prove it. All work was done by a Ford diesel technician. This is not the typical 200k mile truck you see online.
I've used full synthetic Mobil 1 or Rotella T6 every 5k since purchasing. The front buckets and console were
replaced with a fully loaded bench/jump seat setup from a Lariat F250. If you've ever tried to find a decent jump
seat for these trucks, you know how rare they are. I have both a leather bench and leather captains for the 2nd row
that will included in the asking price. The flooring has been replaced with tan vinyl flooring from Auto Custom
Carpets. The factory carpet will be included.
Below is a listing of the work that's been done:
2003 10-vane turbo, rebuilt with 360 bearings and billet unison ring from KC Turbos, and billet wicked wheel 2.
10000 miles since rebuild using the upgraded Ford drain tube and correct 2003 pedestal (hard to find!) This turbo
sounds amazing!
ARP head studs with Ford gaskets
XDP EGR delete. EGR valve is in place- no trouble codes or CEL
Blue spring fuel pressure upgrade
New OEM Ford oil cooler
XDP coolant filter kit
Full 4" Turbo-back exhaust, AFE, T-304 Stainless. Stock cat available

Roadmaster active suspension helper springs on rear
Upgraded DC power alternator with heavy duty charge cables from ficmrepair.com

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.

V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.

2016 Ford Mustang SVT hides big power under its domed hood

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

With a number of 2015 Ford Mustang versions finally available to configure, the fun of speculating about next year's high-performance 'Stang can now begin. It looks like Ford has something seriously fun planned too. One of our spy photographers just snapped some fresh pics of the 2016 Mustang SVT, which is believed to be hiding the final body shape under all of that heavy camouflage.
Ford clearly doesn't want prying eyes looking at its new pride and joy. It would be hard to put much more obfuscation on a car than this one wears - it even has mesh baffles around the exhausts to conceal how many there are and panels over the wheels to hide their design. However, the Blue Oval can't keep everything a secret. The biggest clue that something special is hidden underneath is the massive hood bulge and vent in front of it. Clearly, whatever is under there is hungry for cool air. The shape of the camo indicates that there may be fender vents on each side, and there are also obscured outlets behind the front wheels likely to pull cool air through the brakes. At the rear, the concealment does its job, making it hard to observe any big changes. The fact that Ford wants it kept such a secret might indicate something, though.
A few photos of the interior show far less cover than the outside. You can easily make out the model's 6,500 rpm redline with a possible 7,000 rpm over-rev function. The big Recaro sport seats also look quite supportive.
