Montgomery, Alabama, United States

REDUCED PRICE - LIMITED EDITION - v10 6.8 Liter Engine.
EXCELLENT MECHANICAL/BODY CONDITION.

Things I love about this Excursion are the peppy acceleration, full spectrum strong v10 power, great sounding (not loud) aftermarket exhaust with larger piping plus 4" chrome tip and smooth gear shifting transmission. Also the Dark Green Paint is my favorite especially paired with the light gold trim color it is very good looking. Recorded 13.8 MPG in City and 15.7 MPG on Highway .All windows are tinted and the tires are all balanced, steering is in perfect alignment. I am only selling it because I am a single man and really have no practical use for it. I bought it just because I have always loved them and came across this one with a fair price so I had to have it. I am really not in a huge hurry to sell it though I still need to soon in order to invest my money elsewhere. If you are looking for an SUV the Excursions are the KINGS! Do not buy a chevy or gmc suburban because you will be disappointed. The Suburbans and Tahoes may be able to seat as many people but they don't have near the cargo room for all those passengers luggage/travel items. My parents had a Suburban so I know. Plus they have a small engine that doesn't compare to the v10 and they still get same MPG. Last but definitely not least the Excursion looks 100x better going down the road! Chevy and GMC's are only difference is TWO LETTERS fashioned on the exterior pillar(weak). The Excursion has premium exterior trim, a beautiful "Limited Edition" badges, lit running boards, a spare tire that isn't stored under the car(those suck) and comes with CHROME RIMS. The Ford Excursion has cheaper maintenance also.

Only 115,*** miles and these engines last forever. Just had Stivers Ford Dealership go through it and had a couple new parts installed with 2 year warranties. This SUV will not need anything maintenance wise needed for a long time. Tires only have 3k miles on them, still like new. In Great Condition. 3 tv screens, front 7", 15" drop down, 8" headrest. Runs Great. Brand new 265 LT BF Goodrich A/T tires just put on. A/C great, Good looking Limited Edition leather and comfort. 3 rd row. Powerful v10 model is still pretty good on gas, I was surprised at how well it does. The entire oil assembly pump and filter, engine vacuum hoses, all 10 fuel injectors, all 10 spark plugs and ignition coils and more all have 2 year warranties I will transfer to you. I paid $149.00 last week for the authorized Ford Dealership complete all point inspection and have those results. The only items needing repair are listed above and the work is already finished. The Excursion runs so good.

This SUV is in excellent running condition and will outperform a suburban any day. Great for towing, work or family. Title is in my name and in my possession and matches my name and information. You will have no issues with registration in your home state because I know the right way to sell a car. Be careful buying on eBay because I have witnessed the vehicle seller send the buyer the title he was given from the person he bought it from before and the buyer was told by his probate office the vehicle is considered stolen and the process to get a new title forever devalues the car, its equivalent to a wrecked title. You have to get the person who sold the vehicle to the guy you bought the vehicle from to purchase a all new title 4-6 weeks then your seller has to file for a title 4-6 more weeks and then you can register your vehicle and get your title in another 4-6 weeks. Just a tip from me that if you didnt already know about you need to because it happens a lot with people selling their vehicles on here and dirty dealers do it to avoid taxes and the IRS. What I will do though is work with you to make sure you pay as little tax and registration fee's in your state by making the bill of sale, etc. reflect a post payment paperwork price that is legal between individuals not associated with business law. I can help find shipping prices also but all costs associated with pick-up are buyers duty. Uship.com is best, I have used them twice and been very happy. If you have any questions I will answer as quickly as I can and please know that I am glad to answer your questions and I am more than happy to explain anything to you or share my experience's with my Excursion or buying and selling on eBay.

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost already hitting 12-second quarters

Sun, 28 Sep 2014

The arrival of a new Ford Mustang means many things to many people, but not least of them is drag racers. The pony car has always been a mainstay of the drag strip, and the Ford Racing team aims to carry that reputation forward with this latest generation. So it cooked up a few basic modifications on three new 'Stangs and headed to the strips at US 131 and Milan Dragway to see what they could coax out of 'em.
Impressively, the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT with a few modifications (but no forced induction) managed to clock a quarter-mile time of 11.77 seconds. Another Mustang GT fitted with a supercharger clocked a blistering 10.97 seconds. But just as intriguing was the modified EcoBoost model that, with only four cylinders and 2.3 liters of displacement, still passed the gates in just 12.56 seconds - nearly half a second better than expected. This with modification limited to a new subframe, half-shaft, drive shaft loops, exhaust, engine calibration, slicks, roll cage and bucket seat. Well done, boys.
