The TITLE: It is a clean title with no issues. This is an extremely straight SUV for its age and does not hide any further damage.

The EXTERIOR: This car is very nice Medium Blue Metallic and Coyote Tan. It shows the wear and tear of a vehicle that is 15 years old.  the only visible damage is the left rear wheel arch and that is shown in the picture. The paint shows its age but with some care shines up nicely. The paint and body are in fantastic shape for a 15 year old SUV.

The ENGINE: The SOHC 5.4L (330ci) SEFI V8 "TRITON"was factory rated at 260 @ 4500 RPM and 345 @ 2300 RPM. For such a Large heavy vehicle this SUV picks right up and gets you to highway speed with no problem.  Engine compartment is clean, and void of any leaks.  The Engine produces no unusual noises. The exhaust sounds great good shape, is very quite and absolulty no smoke.

The TRANSMISSION: 4 Speed Auto with OD shifts very solidly and has no issues.

The CHASSIS and SUSPENSION: The front differential does not engage we believe that a replacement is in order (we will replace at buyers expense and most likely beat any price out there.) The suspension is stable but is has the feel that it will need to be tightened up in the next 5,000 miles. I.E Struts Bushing ext., (We will replace at buyers expense and most likely beat any price out there.) The tires are within 500 miles and need to be replaced more because of age instead of wear. Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
