*2003 FORD EXPLORER SPORT XLT PREMIUM 4X4*
Selling my 2003 Explorer Sport 4.0 V6. This truck is absolutely beautiful and is in mint condition.
I am the second owner of this vehicle and it currently has about 94,000 miles.
All work was done professionally at Rob's Performance shop here in NJ. The audio work was also done professional audio shop. (I still have a majority of the receipts.)
Read on for more details.
Rob's Performance installed a custom Eaton M90 Supercharger with the Banshee Supercharger kit. It pushes out about 7.5lbs of boost. All steel braided lines with proper fuel pressure gauges. A larger fuel pump and increased performance 36lb fuel injectors. Next was the 10% reduction pulley for the blower. Also added was a Transmission shift kit and a huge transmission cooler. Over-sized stability sway arms were added in the front and back which makes the handling sharp and tight. The SCT tuner has loaded tune options as well. All of this work was at about 80,000 miles. She is running 0-60 in just under 6 seconds. Pretty impressive for an SUV with 4x4. Brakes done recently and upgraded to EBC GreenStuff pads and EBC dimpled and slotted rotors.
-On top of all the performance upgrades, a full audio system was custom built and installed. Two 10" Alpine subwoofers are fitted into a special box in the back with a dedicated 600w amplifier. The installation is very clean and professionally done. All other speakers are Alpines with tweeters installed on the doors in the front, those also have a dedicated 250w amp.
-Most recently added are NEW just mounted 18" TSW Donington Rims with Michelin 265/60 R18 LTX AT/2s. Basically the best tires money can buy for an SUV ($2000). The tires and wheels were purchased about a month ago and were recently mounted on the truck. 99.9% tread life. Additionally, I just had new rear shackles installed as well.
Features, Options, Extras. That is what this truck is all about. She is extreamly clean. Non-smoker. I wanted something that was very comfortable, fast, nimble, 4x4, practical, reliable, strong, and fun. Out of the factory this is the highest version offered for the Sport models with awesome options such as full power seat, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel, power sunroof, power mirrors, 4x4, heated seats, and two-tone leather seats. Ford did an amazing job creating a vehicle that is practical for virtually every situation. It has payload, towing, 4x4, auto headlights with timer setting. There is also a full size spare tire. Added on top of Fords work are some minor upgrades such as new headlight housings, taillight housings, HIDs for headlights and fogs, an amazing touch screen navigation/cd/dvd/mp3 headunit that talks to the car. Bluetrooth phone connectivity with wireless hands-free calling is integrated into the head unit. Additionally, it shows different functions such as Speed, G-force, RPM, ext..., also added was a backup camera that automatically comes up on the screen when the vehicle is put into Reverse, S&B intake and Gibson Catback exhaust, and some other small details such as rear A/C with separate controls.
This truck is one of a kind and is a blast to drive, it will leave a smile on anyone's face no matter what. Rain, Snow, Mud... Nothing is a problem for this Truck. No mechanical problems and runs amazingly. Upkept by the preformance shop. Also gets fantastic gas mileage for a vehicle with such power and 4x4. Garage kept.
-Because there has been so much done to this vehicle, I may have missed some features but feel free to messages me with any questions. I always have more photos as well.
Note: The Carlisle National picture shows the truck with 22" five spoke rims which are no longer on the vehicle. The new 18" Donington rims will come with it as stated in the description above.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Jay Leno sees how the other half lives with CHP cop cars new and old
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Comedian Jay Leno is changing gears from driving fast cars to checking out some of the police cruisers that regularly chase down and dish out punishment to those fast cars. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. A 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey and 2000 Crown Victoria are all in the shop. Better still, Jay lays out an argument for ones of the classic cruisers as the best cop car of all time. Get your guesses in now, and then scroll down to watch and learn.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost already hitting 12-second quarters
Sun, 28 Sep 2014The arrival of a new Ford Mustang means many things to many people, but not least of them is drag racers. The pony car has always been a mainstay of the drag strip, and the Ford Racing team aims to carry that reputation forward with this latest generation. So it cooked up a few basic modifications on three new 'Stangs and headed to the strips at US 131 and Milan Dragway to see what they could coax out of 'em.
Impressively, the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT with a few modifications (but no forced induction) managed to clock a quarter-mile time of 11.77 seconds. Another Mustang GT fitted with a supercharger clocked a blistering 10.97 seconds. But just as intriguing was the modified EcoBoost model that, with only four cylinders and 2.3 liters of displacement, still passed the gates in just 12.56 seconds - nearly half a second better than expected. This with modification limited to a new subframe, half-shaft, drive shaft loops, exhaust, engine calibration, slicks, roll cage and bucket seat. Well done, boys.
Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster
Mon, 25 Aug 2014At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.
