1951 Ford F100 F100 350 Sbc Classis Hotrod Lowrider Restomod Lowrod Dropped Ss on 2040-cars
Calexico, California, United States
Up for sale is my 1951 ford F100 Lets start with the paint, the truck just got painted at a local body shop. The paint is about a 8 and I am hopping it will be more like a 9 when it gets wet sanded and buffed. The bumpers are new and they were installed close to the body to give the truck a clean look. the grill has been re chromed and the trim polished. All the glass is in good condition. The truck has new tires on the 15 inch aluminum wheels. The wheels are used and are not in perfect condition, still in good condition for a daily driver. The interior of the truck is fresh with new carpet, floor mats, kick panels with speakers, door panels, head liner, visors and bucket seats. The steering column is a GM model, and the steering wheel is aluminum with a wood grain looking wheel. The truck does have a cd player and speakers that work. The cd player probably needs service because sometimes the cd gets stuck. The bed of the truck was sprayed with Linex and has hidden hinges. The truck has a GM front clip and GM rear differential. This truck has a 350 engine that came off a 1985 Corvette, the truck runs good and strong. The truck also has a automatic transmission that shifts good. The truck has power steering, front disc brakes and Air Conditioning that will turn you into a snowman. The engine has a black Chevrolet dress up kit and new MSD wires. The engine also has serpentine belt. Not to much chrome under the hood but still looks nice... This is a good old truck with a lot of modern upgrades and is ready for you to take for a cruse or take it to the local car show. This truck runs good, but still I cant guarantee it will run this good for ever. With this said you are encourage to come and see, take to a mechanic or do anything else you need to, before you purchase the truck. The truck is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up of vehicle. If you have any questions call me at 7605624198. |

Ford Q1 profits dragged down by warranty costs
Fri, 25 Apr 2014General Motors isn't the only Detroit automaker posting falling profits in the first quarter. Ford just released its Q1 2014 financial data, and it reported a net income of $989 million, down $622 million from Q1 2013. The drop is partially blamed on higher warranty and recall expenses than the company had anticipated.
Financially, Ford suffered a rough quarter almost across the board. Its pre-tax profit of $1.4 billion was also down $765 million from a year ago. Things were even worse in the North American market where operating profit fell significantly to $1.5 billion, down from $2.392 billion in Q1 2013. However, its global revenue ticked up slightly to $35.9 billion, from $35.6 billion in this period in 2013.
Ford admitted that it spent about $900 million on expenses that it hadn't planned for during this quarter. According to Reuters, the company paid about $400 million in additional warranty and recall costs in North America. The automaker didn't explain why the costs were so much higher than expected. However, in the last three months, Ford has had several recalls, including on the 2001-2004 Escape for rust, Explorer for its steering, Edge for its fuel line and others.
70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025
Wed, 11 Jun 2014In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
