1951 Ford F100. Got this truck in on trade and have to many other projects going on right now.Truck looks to have been restored back in the 80's. The front end is a camaro sub frame and camaro 10 bolt rearend. The cab is really nice. The only rust on the cab is 1 little spot on drivers floorboard, cab corners are solid. doors are straight and solid have not been patched. Bed sides are super straight and tailgate looks great. Hood is nice. The rear fenders are good, looks like there is a small amount of bondo in one of the rear fenders but not from rust, looks like someone just filled in some dents instead of pounding them out. Did not see any patches on inside of rear fenders. The front fenders are not to bad. they do need some work on lower portions of both front fenders can buy patches on line pretty cheap. I also have the original front and rear bumpers. The motor that is sitting in the truck now is a chevy 350. Was told that it was fresh when installed but never fired. It is not locked up. Just not sure. Windows roll up and down nicely.

What the truck does need. The brake assembly will need hooked up along with brake lines. Needs new wiring harness, there is one in it but not sure if its good or not. needs driveshaft, and I would put in a different steering column. Windshield is cracked but rest of glass is good.

This would be a good winter project for someone.

Fell free to ask any questions during the auction. I will add extra pics if needed.

Truck is sold as is , I reserve the right to end auction early. I require a non refundable deposit of 300 at auction end and the rest in cash at pick up. Truck must be picked up within 10 days of auction end unless otherwise agreed on.

Thanks for looking and good luck.

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.

Chip Foose tastefully enhances his personal Ford GT

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Typically, we'd expect a vehicle from 2006 to fall well short of a more modern vehicle, both in terms of performance and style. Of course, the Ford GT is not your average offering from the Bush era. That's doubly true when the 2006 GT in question belongs to one Chip Foose.
Purchased by his wife as a 50th birthday present, Foose is showing his custom, personalized GT at the 2014 SEMA Show. The 5.4-liter supercharged V8 breathes a bit easier thanks to a full Magnaflow Performance exhaust, but Foose's GT isn't all about the performance.
Instead, the car customizer extraordinaire has focused on tasteful aesthetic enhancement, tweaking the rear end by removing the bumper and trimming the frame extensions. The wheels, meanwhile, are one-off aluminum alloys, designed by Foose himself. Like the stripes, the wheels feature orange accenting.

Ford ditching Microsoft in favor of BlackBerry QNX for next-gen Sync?

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Ask the average consumer - at least, those who follow the goings-on in the automotive industry - which carmaker they'd most closely associate Microsoft, and the answer you'd most likely get would be Ford. The Blue Oval automaker, after all, was at the forefront of bringing Microsoft technology into cars with its pioneering Sync system, and, though reality didn't turn out as such, Ford's CEO was recently touted as a potential future head of the Redmond-based software giant. But that relationship, according to the latest reports, could be coming to an end.
Alan Mullaly kiboshed the idea of leaving Dearborn for Redmond, but more importantly Ford is tipped to be ditching Microsoft in developing its next-generation Sync system. In its place, Ford is expected to partner with BlackBerry's QNX division.
Now, before you go balking "BlackBerry?! But they're finished!" consider that QNX is (or at least was) an independent entity that Research In Motion (as BlackBerry's Ontario-based parent company was then known) just happened to have bought back in 2010. QNX provides control systems to everything from nuclear power plants and UAVs to automakers like Audi, BMW and Porsche.
