Old School 1953 Ford F100 Pickup Truck
Clean Arizona Title, truck came from factory with Overdrive but it was removed before I got the truck. Made in LA, Calif. Never been east of Arizona so NO RUST ANYWHERE !
If you are looking for an original 1953 Ford Truck, this is it. No high performance motor, no sooped up transmission, same factory rear end.
Dash untouched, runs , drives, shifts great. Engine does not smoke. Duel exhaust that dead-ends in front of rear-end. Original spare tire & wheel mounted under bed.
Installed 8 volt battery & adjusted Voltage Regulator accordingly, fast starting. Installed 6 to 12 volt inverter for the Cd/AM/FM Stereo, only 12 volt item on the truck.
Still a 6 volt system. Paint job looks good, but not show quality. Have about 1/2 gallon of matching Turqoise paint that will go with it. There is a paint chip I put in it by the hood when I installed the Tilt Hood. (by the way, I have the original new hindges that will go too)

There is a chip in the windshield on the inside of the truck behind the rear-view mirror that is not in your sight.
I can not say with certenty, but I believe 94000 miles may be original the way the truck runs & drives.
Lots of new parts, still have original back glass that will go with the truck.

Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.

Man turns Ford Fiesta into a one-car band

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The one-man band is a rather ridiculous idea, drawing up images of one person attempting to manipulate several instruments, at once, in a vain attempt at creating music. It's usually represented by silly scenes like this. Interestingly, the concept isn't much more successful when the "man" in "one-man band" is replaced with "car," as we see in this video.
It seems that someone rigged up and edited (699 times, we might add) a Ford Fiesta, a bucket, 12 PVC pipes and the natural sounds that a car makes to come up with a song. Now, we don't recognize the tune, so we've no idea if this is a cover or an original piece. And while it's hardly Beethoven, we have to admire the amount of effort the "conductor" went to in his attempt to turn a subcompact car into a musical instrument(s). Take a look (or listen) below for the entire video.
