Complete, original and honest old Halliburton service truck. Purchased and brought in from Abilene, Texas several years ago where it's been sitting in my garage awaiting restoration. Never got started. Got a bill of sale when I bought the truck but no title. Great restoration project because there's no evidence of any previous modifications. Don't think truck has ever even been painted because Halliburton printing is still visible on each door. Truck is covered with surface rust. Cab corners and floorboards need sheetmetal work. Worst is on driver's side. Good news is that replacement sheetmetal parts are readily available for this popular 1956 F-100. Everything appears to be original to truck including engine (V8), transmission, etc. Included with the purchase of truck is a 1956 Ford Truck Shop Manual and a good, straight front grill to replace the damaged one.

Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.
Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment

Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

A tribute to William Clay Ford
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
