1956 Ford F100 Pickup
I purchased this truck from a local gentleman who had it in dry storage for many many years. Truck overall is very clean and rust free with the exception of the front cab mounts (SEE PICTURES), some minor rust in the rain rails and the bottom of the doors are flaked with surface rust but solid otherwise (SEE PICTURES). It has a strong running Ford 302 V8 bolted to a C4 Automatic Transmission. Gas tank is filled with slug and is discounted so to hear the engine run you have to feed the carb. Also it is not driveable due to all the brakes being seized open but it does roll around just fine.

Included But Not Pictured:
77 Ford Club Cab Rolling Chassis Complete With Power Steering, Power Brakes And Gas Tank.
Custom One Off Tail Gate
A Set Of Headers For The Engine
All Metal Bed Rails

My plan was to go over the truck top to bottom and put the body on the 77 Ford Club Cab chassis so I had all the updated power stuff. Time has gotten the best of me and I just can't get to it right now so I'd like to see it go to a new owner. This American Beauty deserves to be on the road and not in storage where I currently have it.

Ford invests $682 million in Edge-producing Canadian facility

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

Ford announced that it's investing $682 million in its Oakville assembly plant in Ontario, Canada, to make it a global manufacturing plant, which the automaker also says secures 2,800 jobs there. Including this injection of cash, Ford has invested over $2 billion in Canada in the last decade, starting with nearly $1 billion for Oakville in 2004, and over $570 million for its Essex Engine Plant in 2010.
The move to make Oakville a global manufacturer of Ford vehicles means, "If consumers suddenly shift their buying habits, we can seamlessly change our production mix without having to idle a plant," says Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas.
Ford says that the latest investment will help it meet North American demand for the Oakville-produced Edge crossover, which is on track this year to beat 2007's US sales record of 130,000 Edges. The Ford Flex and Lincoln MKX and MKT are also manufactured at the plant.

Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a track-day weapon with 500 hp

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

Ford promises more than 500 horsepower and a torque peak above 400 lb-ft.
The wait is finally over. After months of spy shots, rumor and innuendo, Ford has officially pulled the wraps off its new Shelby GT350. Judging by the spec sheet and the promises being made - especially that the Shelby GT350 will be "an all-day track car that's also street legal" - the wait appears to have been worth it.
