Hello and thank you for looking at my auction! I have a 2 documented owner 1962 F-100 Unibody long bed pickup truck. The first owner bought it new and kept it up until first of this year when we bought it and are now the second owners. The truck is in very good shape for a 52 year old vehicle. It has a small amount of work that has been done to it in the past but nothing major. It is solid and runs and drives and stops very good and has been on back roads, city streets and highways since we owned it with no issues at all. It is mostly primered but can be brought back to the patina look with some sanding and elbow grease or some finishing and painted to look very nice.  The truck has some body blemishes but no real rot. The worst visible spots are in the bed. The tailgate opens and shuts exactly the way is should. For you truck and rat rod guys, you know that is hard to come by.

The truck has a 70's model 302 V8 with a heavy duty 4 speed transmission with the granny first gear along with a lower rear end gear. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch which is geared for pulling. Per the original owner, it was installed to pull his trailer. The following pieces were installed over the last couple months.

  • Points and condenser
  • Distributor
  • Coil
  • Plugs and wires
  • Oil and filter change
  • Gear and diff fluids changed
  • New door window seals and tracks
  • New felts and door seals - doors shut very clean and tight
  • New recovered bench seat with center fold down armrest
  • New CD player and speakers
The truck cranks up almost instantly and has not given any issues since the new points and condenser were installed. When first cranked, it has a very small amount of smoke but clears up once you go.  The motor does not make any ticks, rattles or has no real leaks and the exhaust is nearly new and sounds very good and without being to loud.

Here is what else you will get with the truck if the offer is agreed upon.
  • Re-manufactured 70's model 302 heads - 1 set
  • 4 speed truck transmission without granny gear
  • Lighter gear set to give better highway manners
  • Extra headlight buckets
  • Extra Wheel covers
  • Original door panels uncut
  • Few other odds and ends
You can buy this truck and put a little more money and time into it and have a very nice cruiser or rat rod or buy it and drive it like it is.

Thanks again for looking and please email, text or call with any other questions!

2016 Ford Explorer revealed with new 2.3-liter EcoBoost

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

A 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder takes over where the old 2.0 left off, making 270 hp and 300 lb-ft.
Right now, around 23 percent of all Ford vehicles sold in the United States is a utility vehicle. By 2020, Ford expects that figure to increase all the way to 29 percent. Put simply, SUVs and crossovers are very big business at Ford. So, when it comes time to update the Explorer, Ford's original sport utility vehicle, you can be sure that a whole heck of a lot of effort goes into the process.

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.
