Well i can't beleive i am doing this but i am putting my old ford on the auction to see what i can get.  I have had this truck since 1998 drove it for 2 years then decided to slowly restore it.  LOL well there were are 14 years later and not much has been done to it in the past 10 years.  There is a 390 bored .030 over (67 car block) new crank, rod main bearings, pistons, rings, can (crane 268H) edelbrock 650 cgm carb with man choke and flowtech headers (no exhaust and loud).  tranny is a stock np435 with a 205 transfercase.  Front axle is a 1977 model dana 44 with disc brakes (new calipers hoses and lines, moog ball joints.) that was all done 10 years ago.  The back is a stock 9 inch with new drums, shoes, hardware, and wheel cylinders it is a 28 spline 1966 rear.  It has power disc brakes and power steering.  I have a drop pitman arm new in box for the steering box.  The grill is a 66 the cab is a 64 the steps are in need of work as is the front cab mounts and the rear cab corners.  The front fenders have light mud but only due to dents not rust (rot).  The radiator support needs replaced or patched.  The hood is ok there is minor minor rust on the lip.  The box is solid the bed floor was bad so i cut it all out and reframed it for a wood insert. tailgate came from texas little dent in right lower corner.  The frame is a 1966 factory 4wd.  I also have a 1966 2wd frame with lowering beams and disc brakes and the factory dana 60 5 lug rear also lowered with a 4 speed.  I have spare front fenders (nice), a 1965 cab (was gonna use it in place of the 64 cab (still needs work but solid for year), spare 66 grill and 2 upper grill panels, door hinges, another hood and alot more.  I goal was to but the cab and body on the 2wd frame with my engine.  The serial number starts with a F10 not F11 so the cab was originally a 2wd.  I know and can answer alot of questions as this when i bought it was 2wd on the original frame with a 292.  I have old pics too.  I do have title in my name.  Ask and I shall answer.  there is a reserve as this does have some sentimental value.  If i get it the truck goes if not ill keep and never list it again just over whelmed with stuff right now.  thanks

Fred

Ford shares falling on news of lower-than-expected profits next year

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

Ford has released projections for its 2013 profits, along with predictions of its 2014 earnings, and the news has forced the company's stock to stumble, falling over seven percent as of this writing. The Blue Oval is expecting earnings of $8.34 billion for 2013, although the bulk of that is coming largely from its North American operations, as troubles abroad continue to take a toll.
Calling 2013 an "outstanding" year, Ford expects its revenue to be up about 10 percent, thanks to gains in market share everywhere but Europe. But it's 2014 predictions that are causing stock prices to fall, as the Dearborn-based manufacturer expects pre-tax profits to fall to $7 to $8 billion, because of troubles in both Europe and South America, according to a report from Reuters. This is despite an expansion plan that will see it open an additional factory in the southern hemisphere, as well as two plants in China, all in a bid to launch 23 new or refreshed products next year.
The issues in South America aren't so much related to a fall in sales - Ford expects improved profits in Brazil and Argentina - but because of currency devaluations in Venezuela that are projected to cost it around $350 million. While that would still allow it to break even with 2013, Ford cites continued economic risks that could push losses even higher.

Ford Mondeo with 1.5-liter EcoBoost debuts in China

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

Does the car above, posing fancifully in white, look familiar? Well, it should. Although it wears Mondeo badges in the form you see above for the Chinese market - as it does in Europe - the car is basically the same thing sold in the US as the Ford Fusion. Of course, it's what's under that shapely skin that counts.
Ford has chosen the Shanghai Motor Show as the venue with which to unveil its 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. We'd heard about the engine before, but now we have a few performance estimates to share: 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet).
Those numbers pretty much confirm previous rumors indicating about 177 in each category, and it's right on par with what Ford's own 1.6-liter EcoBoost produces. Ford is claiming best-in-class fuel economy as well, but no specific figures have yet been provided. In any case, we'll surely have all the data soon enough, as the 1.5-liter mill is destined for the US Fusion in 2014.

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.
