1965 Ford F 100 Short Bed Stepside on 2040-cars
Thermopolis, Wyoming, United States
For auction is a very nice f 100 stepside truck. It was a military police vehicle in the sixties and still has the us property plate on the dash. The paint is one of those 699.00 special type paint jobs and looks ok from 30 feet or so. The body is absolutely rust free saving thousands in restoration costs if you were to want to re-paint it. Tires and wheels are 99% with less than a thousand miles on them. All glass is excellent as well as the weatherstripping. Every thing works with the electrical except the left turn signal. The throwout bearing wines a little when the clutch is pushed in but clutch works excellent. It runs and drives great for a 49 year old truck. The bed wood will neeed replaced but there is a piece of plywood there so it can be used to haul stuff if needed. It is a three speed on the column and shifts very nicely. Brakes work good and steering is non power but steers very easily. It only has 50,732 original miles and was very well cared for with the exception of the top of the tailgate which is common for these old trucks as they were used to haul things. All the truck really needs to be a really nice truck is a better paint job. If you have any ?s please call me for a quicker response at 307-921-8967 as I am away from my computer most of the time. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.

Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.
Ford F-150 King Ranch celebrates 'history and authenticity' for 2015 [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014What's life like on an authentic Texas ranch? We honestly have no idea, having never lived on such a ranch, but we imagine it requires lots of hard work, grit and determination to keep all 825,000 acres - that's larger than the state of Rhode Island - of the King Ranch in Texas under control. Indeed, a total of 350 vehicles, all of which come from Ford, we're told, are currently in use by the ranch. No wonder, then, that the collaboration between Ford and King Ranch has lasted for 15 successful years.
For 2015, in celebration of that 15th anniversary, Ford is debuting three new King Ranch models today at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The most significant is the 2015 F-150 King Ranch, which, naturally, will add unique interior and exterior bits and pieces to the new aluminum-intensive F-Series pickup. Color choices will consist of Caribou, Bronze Fire, Guard and Ruby Red Metallic Clearcoat, with a range of two-tones to go along with a monochromatic scheme in Caribou. Inside, a bespoke King Ranch interior will be swathed in Premium Mesa Brown leather.
Joining the F-150 King Ranch on dealership floors later this year will be 2015 King Ranch editions of the Super Duty pickup and Expedition fullsize SUV, all of which will offer similar levels of content. Scroll down for more details and two videos from Ford, and be sure to check out the high-res image gallery above, which was shot by the official State Photographer of Texas, Wyman Meinzer.
