Really nice 1966 Ford F100 up for auction. It was restored in 1990 and I believe it has a 352 V8--runs good, and does NOT leak. 4 speed manual with low gear. Transmission was drained and refilled last week. Daily driver. Paint is electric blue (was originally white), in good condition, and has a few minor scratches along the top of the bed railing from normal wear and tear. Driver's front quarter panel has been touched up, and truck will come with a professionally mixed can of matching blue. It does have a few VERY minor surface oxidation spots above the driver's rear wheel well (see pics) that will easily buff out, as well as a small door ding on the passenger side door. It is missing a small piece of the custom cab chrome trim above the driver's side f-100 emblem, but it is hardly noticeable. You can get a new one for $40 if you feel the need. Truck has tape deck and speakers. No rear bumper. It has a roll-on bed liner and a nice diamond stamp pickup box. Truck does not have power steering or power brakes. Rally style wheels with decent tires--about 50% life remaining. Seat needs re-upholstered (see pic), but comes with a seat cover. Shows 88,157 miles. No clue if those are original miles. I drive this pickup every day, so it will likely show around 88,500 by the time it sells.

Low reserve. This is a clean, straight truck. Please do not bid unless you intend to follow through. I don't want to have to do this, but if the winning bidder flakes out, I will be forced to exhaust Ebay's collection options and leave appropriate feedback. I run very clean transactions and expect the same from buyers.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Ford GT to be revived, Le Mans battle upcoming

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Ford dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969, scoring four consecutive wins. Wouldn't it be great if the Blue Oval could go back to France for the 50th anniversary of that performance and show it can still compete in international endurance racing? Actually, the latest rumors indicate that could be exactly the case, and the car taking that checkered flag could be another revival of the Ford GT.
As the rumblings go, Ford wants to use a new supercar to take another crack at Le Mans, after considering some other possible alternatives. Substantiating these musings are reports that a Blue Oval rep was reportedly on hand for a recent meeting about 2016 GTE-Class rules, according to Road and Track. That would put the new GT in the same racing class as the Corvette, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 and others.
It's not all about racing, though. If you win on Sunday, you want something to be able to sell on Monday. The revived GT is reportedly still a mid-engine supercar, but the exact engine is unclear. It's possible that it could even be shown or announced at the Detroit auto show in January, according to Motor Trend.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

2015 Ford Mustang revs it up at Cars & Coffee

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Just because the new 2015 Ford Mustang has officially been released, you didn't think that would be the end of the matter - did you? Of course not. There'll still be plenty of rumors, reports and video footage to bring you. Like this, the first non-official footage of the new pony car in the wild.
Shot by YouTube user SotA1080 and dug up by our friends at CarBuzz, this clip shows the new Mustang posing for photos (alongside other Mustangs) and starting up its engine at the most recent gathering of Cars & Coffee in Irvine, CA. And this being the GT model, it's not packing the V6 or the turbo four, but the red-blooded 5.0-liter V8 that tells us and enthusiasts worldwide that the new Mustang has not lost its way. Scroll on down to watch the footage for yourself.
