Im selling my 1975 f 100. Please read in full. Im going to be as honest as I can about it.

All the work im listing was done about 3 years ago and driven very little. ,,it has 289 out of a 66 mustang GT. Its been completely rebuilt, new pistons, rings, bearings,  sock rebuild outside of the hooker headers and edelbrock intake. also has electric fan, chrome pulleys, brand new plugs and wires. The transmission was new from summit racing. not a rebuild, but new 4 speed. 411 gears, also clutch was done at the same time. the motor and trans are the best part of the truck. runs perfect, no smoke or wierd noises, tons of power.. the trans shifts like new. The body is good,  no rot, no bondo. just some minor surface rust here and there bed is good too, with spray on bed liner.. This is going to be the hard part to describe. The paint is good, but it has a few chips and scratches. The guy painted it in his garage, so it not perfect. but still good. The underside is also really nice. all new fuel and brake lines. Also good brakes, but drums all the around. the interior is where it needs to be finished. really just carpet is all u need. The seat has been redone, new custom door pannels, its has a computer in it, with radio, ipod plugin, back up camera, aux in. digital tac, new headliner, visors, All new weather stripping in front and rear glass and doors.  just needs the carpet and kick panels. The tires are good, but a little dry rot. all the lights and turn signals work. The dash ligh just burned out last week. The bad stuff,,,, but not to bad. Front driveshaft is not hooked up, I have it. the streeing is a little loose, but is has a new steering box, the front stabilizer shock is not hooked up, but also have that. there is a little bit of a oil leak, not sure where its coming from. I bought this truck just a few months ago, I have 2 little kids, and no time at all. The way the truck is, is the way I bought it. Its a blast to drive. its a sweet old ford. trades are cool, hunting gear, new truck or suv or van. or guitar gear. call text 440 725 4077 tony

1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.
There's custom bodywork abound, painted in a two-tone Tennessee Whiskey Gold and Daytona Sand finish. Check out all the amazing details in the image gallery below, and scroll down to read all about it in designer Troy Trepanier's own words.

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor sales jumping to new heights

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Ford can't seem to build F-150 SVT Raptors fast enough. The off-road-ready trucks have been one of the Blue Oval's most reliable sellers, with record sales in eight of the last 10 months and a 14-percent jump in 2013. That's impressive enough, considering that the least expensive Raptor starts at $44,000. Factor in the modded F-150's fuel economy (it's rated at 11 miles per gallon in the city and 16 on the highway) and a national average gas price, as of this writing, of $3.55 per gallon, and its success is as unlikely as Ford's home team, the Detroit Lions, winning the Super Bowl this year (sorry, Lions fans, we're just quoting the experts in Vegas...).
Yet for some reason, Raptors spend an average of just 15 days on dealer lots before being snapped up, which is a quarter of the 60-day industry average. According to Ford's truck group marketing manager, Doug Scott, it's capability that keeps the Raptor selling strong. "What's helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers. Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers' evolving needs."
To address the strong demand for Raptors, Ford will bump production from three trucks per hour to five. Not much, we agree. But building an extra 48 trucks per day, at most, seems like a prudent way of addressing demand without oversaturating what is ultimately a niche market. Check out the press release below for more.
