2005 FX4 4x4, bright silver, with the Triton 5.4 V8, 78k miles and black leather interior. I had a 2.5 inch Auto Spring leveling kit installed to bring the front end up and put on Pro Comp 18x9.5 wheels with 325x60 "33's" GoodYear Wranglers. I have the original wheels with tires as well, so you get TWO (2) sets of wheels and tires with this truck. The interior is impeccable and the black leather shows virtually no wear or tear. No rips or stains in the seats or carpets. I don't smoke and I keep it clean. It has the center console with the automatic "pistol grip" shifter. New breaks put on 7/18/2013, rotors and pads, front and back. One of my favorite things is the power sliding glass rear window, it's like a redneck sunroof. Also has the over head adjustable console. I don't offroad this truck other than maybe across a cow pasture to take my boys fishing and I have never taken it "mudding". I don't abuse my trucks. It has a clean Carfax, and is garage kept. The truck drives great and rides very smooth and I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere. Why pay thousands more at a dealership for this truck? I do not require assistance selling this truck, but thanks anyway.

2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.

Ford GT40 makes historic return to racing at Goodwood

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Is there a more iconic, American racecar than the Ford GT40? That may be a discussion for another day (although by all means, tell us how wrong we are in Comments), but this video of heaps of GT40s running in the Goodwood Revival races certainly has us thinking that Ford's Ferrari-killer might just be the best racer the Land Of The Free and Home Of The Brave has ever come up with.
That's completely ignoring the fact that the GT40 was largely developed by Brits using American money, but that's besides the point (there was also a rather brash Texan, who had a big role later in development). The resulting vehicle was dominant, besting the cars of Il Commendatore from 1966 to 1969, although it should be noted that Ford's GT40 was unable to beat Ferrari in its first two Le Mans outings in 1964 and 1965.
Those four years of dominance, which started with Ford sweeping the podium, were enough to establish the GT40's legend. And now, here we are almost 50 years later, celebrating the mid-engined monsters at Goodwood, in their first ever one-make race. Take a look below for the entire video.

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
