Here is a treasure find! PRETTY MUCH ALL ORIGINAL UNMOLESTED CALIFORNIA TRUCK
Original 1965 Ford F250 Camper Special Custom Cab, 352 V8 with a 4 speed manual transmission. RARE 4 SPEED
Odometer shows 121,000 miles, I believe it to be actual mileage.
99% Original Truck except for 1 interior door panel is missing.
Runs too! Carburator needs rebuilding (leaks) and it does need a tune up, but engine is strong and doesn't smoke. There is also an exhaust manifold leak on the passenger side.
Body is EXTREMELY STRAIGHT! NO RUST IN UNDER OR OUT
RUST-FREE CALIFORNIA truck.
Trim is also in good shape, a few little dings, but nothing major and nothing missing.
YES, it isn't pretty because the paint is oxidized and needs a good new coat of paint, but please look beyond that, it will not take much to bring this truck back to it's original beauty.
Hood as a 2" rusty spot on the front...can't make out why...not logical, but dually noted nonetheless.
All original under hood, except for spark plug wires, and oil fill cap.
The Camper Special has adjustable rear bumper which is in very good shape and very straight. No dents, no dings or cracks
Still has the Black and Yellow CA plates.
The Camper Special Tool Box is in great condition - No rust in the interior!
It does need BRAKES, cannot be driven until this is addressed.
Tail Gate is very straight, No dents.
Pickup Box floor is warped, someone must have hauled something heavy.
All pictures were taken while the truck was running (except dash shots) so you can see there is no smoke.
Interior:
Seat has no tears or rips - slightly faded, but still in good shape.
Original floor mats are in good shape
Original Radio, don't think the radio works, but I didn't check it either, so maybe it does...
All rocker panels, floor pans, fender wells and door hinge areas are rust free and in good shape
Steering is tight and it handles like power steering.
This particular year of the Ford F250 with these options - has a reputation as being as comfortable as a car.
Doors close nicely.
To make it a daily driver...
New or rebuilt 2 barrel carburator, Tune up, Brakes, Spark plug wires and an oil change....Good to go I believe.
This is a very easy restore.

2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150
Wed, 23 Jul 2014How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.
Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines will each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales.
Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
