1995 Ford F250 Truck Western Plow For Parts Or Repair on 2040-cars

I will start by saying if it weren't for this axle issue I would still be driving this truck, rusty but trusty.  The body is pretty ragged out.  I take it every fall to have the frontend gone over and this year my mechanic said after changing the axle seal they could not get the axle back in and it could be up to 2k to fix the problem was unclear to me, I've put so much money into this truck over the years I decided to give up on it.  The engine was replaced with a new jasper at 204566k miles along with the clutch and slave cylinder and whatever else should have been done motor mounts.. manifolds(which now leak) I had just had an exhaust put on it.  It has a lot of recent parts..starter..alternator..battery stuff like that.  Along with the good there is a long list of small problems.  None being electrical which is what I wish I could say about the truck I replaced it with.

The plow looks rough but it works great I have kept it maintained.  The mount was $670 alone, wiring $240, controller $150, I'm sure you could easily sell the plow assembly and that's what I will do if no one is interested I just think this would be a good find for someone rebuilding a truck like this.

The front wheel is leaned over I drove it home from the garage about 15 miles and it was fine but when I went to take it to have the plow mount removed last week I could not steer the truck so I've decided to list it as it is with everything.  I will leave the plow off until the time of the sale to determine how it is taken, with a flatbed it could be on, with a tow truck or trailer it will need put in the bed of the truck.  I can help load it in the bed by hand but we need two good backs to do it, or I might be able to do it before hand if you don't want to see it working but I can promise you it works just fine.  Please ask me anything and you are welcome to come look at the truck which is probably the best idea.  Thanks

2015 Ford F-150 specs revealed, EcoBoost 2.7L to make 325 hp and 375 lb-ft [w/video]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.

Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid nab five-star ratings from NHTSA

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Ford's Fusion and Fusion Hybrid have both received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The rating is a big upgrade for the Fusion, which was completely redesigned for 2013. The previous model fell one star short of the top rating, after scoring only three stars in the frontal crash test and four stars in the side crash test and rollover evaluations. The 2013 Fusion received four stars in side crash and rollover testing and a full five stars in the front crash test.
Test results for the 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid were greatly improved at least in part due to Ford's Personal Safety System. The system utilizes smarter sensors to gather crash data and tailor the car's restraint systems to the occupants. Seatbelt usage and seat position are taken into account to ensure airbags deploy with less pressure for smaller drivers, more for larger drivers.
The 2013 Fusion twins also received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designation. Read the official press release below.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.
Head over to Go Auto for the full series of remarks from Mulally, and then let us know what you think of Ford's handling of the Falcon and Territory discontinuations, in Comments.
