I have for sale a 1997 Ford F250HD. This truck is being sold as a parts truck. I have a clear title in hand and if you would like to have the title under your name I am willing to send it in and have it changed over to my name and then to yours. If there are any questions regarding this please ask before bidding. Now to start with the truck. I bought this truck to fix another wrecked truck. I took the front end including all body parts the radiator and the AC condensor off the front along with the front radiator support along with all of the lights. Other than that the rest is there. I drove the truck before taking it apart and the transmission shifted great through all of the gears. The transfer case also worked fine along with all of the 4X4 drive train. As you can tell by the pictures I have parted out some other parts of the truck. Most of the plastic on the inside has been taken off the truck as well as the bed. The seats are all in good condition but the center seat does have a broken lid but other than that it is also in good condition. The wheels on the truck are stock aluminum wheels. The tires on the truck are 70% still in great condition. The hood to the truck is included and has what I belive to be rock dents only because the rest of the truck shows no signs of hail damage. The motor is a 460 with 138000 miles on it. When I bought the truck I was told that it had a blown head gasket. There is water in the oil and I never looked further into the problem. I am selling the truck as a parts truck as stated before. Although I do not ship I would be willing to work out a deal if it has been planned before the end of auction. I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to the vehicle being for sale locally as well. The vehicle does not have a warrenty nore are any applied. Facelifted Ford Focus caught testing in the cold
Wed, 18 Dec 2013It's that time in the life of the Ford Focus to get a little work done - a nip-tuck here, some Botox there. Yes, Ford is testing a facelifted version of its global C-segment entry, which first hit markets in Europe and North America in May 2011.
Like the touchup on the Fiesta, expect Ford's gaping grille to make its first appearance on the Focus. Our spy photographers point out that this is likely to be a more comprehensive makeover than previous spy shots suggested, based on the additional camouflage seen here on the front and rear ends of this five-door model. New head and taillights are also likely in order, as are changes to the front and rear fascia.
The interior was also snapped and features a cleaner design with a larger central display. Other than that, it looks like some buttons have been changed, making us think most of the Focus' updates are limited to the exterior.
NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
Ford Transit customs ready to work for SEMA
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Ford's booth at the SEMA Show this year looks to have two, big themes. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen takes on the 2015 Mustang to the event, and it's now also announcing five customized versions on the 2015 Transit to join the modded pony cars. Each of the vans shows off a different use for the spacious commercial vehicle, from plush luxury to offroad ruggedness.
You probably don't think of the Transit as hitting the trails, but that's just what the take on the design from the Vegas Off-Road Experience (pictured above) is for. The company gives people the opportunity to drive a desert race truck, and this custom is meant to drive them to events. It should be able to take on the terrain a little better with off-road wheels and tires and fender flares, but inside passengers get serious luxury thanks to a 60-inch LED TV and video game systems.
Alternatively the blazing red Designed Travel Transit (right) is all about long road trips. The interior features four captain's chairs with heating, cooling and massage functions, and there's a 4K 50-inch TV to watch. For a touch of added class, the floor is made from hickory.
