This is a super clean 2011 F-250 Diesel Super Cab XLT 4wd. It was used mostly to drive upstate to the Adirondacks and rarely used to tow anything. It is in mint condition with one small dent on rear tailgate, otherwise not a scratch. It has a clean carfax, no paintwork, dealer maintained truck that has given me 0 issues. 29k miles, new 305/75/18 oversized tires that make it look like a real truck, not those wimpy tires it comes stock with. FX-4 off road with electronic locking rear diff, intergrated brake controller, power everything with power driver seat, bedliner and rear tool box. Sync system and I added a Navigation, DVD CD XM unit with backup camera. If reserve is met I will throw in 4 XD custom black rims with off road tires on them that cost me $3000. This truck costs well over $50,000 with all the added equipment. Winner bidder will not be disappointed. Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.
Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford.
