1977 Ford Ranger XLT

F350 1 Ton
400 Motor
2WD
Manual Trans.

Light use on our property since 1990 (just used to haul stuff mostly)
In the past 24 years, it has probably only been driven 5000 miles.
New master cylinder installed last year (may need to be rebled - feels like there is a little air in it)
Get's about 10-12 MPG with our uses

It is currently only used on our property, so it is not licensed or insured.
Clean title.

It is a farm truck, so it is not the prettiest thing in the world, but it is a worker. We use it to haul a trailer and have never had any real problems with it. It drives and handles like an old '70s truck.

Purchase Details:
Buyer is fully responsible for transportation of the truck from the property. I am happy to help with logistics in any way it may be needed. The truck is also okay to sit where it is until proper transportation arrangements are made.

I am happy to answer any and all questions, so please ask BEFORE bidding. If you would like a video or more pictures focusing on a particular part of the truck, just send me a message and we will make it happen. I promos clear and honest communication.

I am looking for an honest and upfront sale. If you bid, you are indicating your willingness to pay. Please do. A NON-REFUNDABLE $300 deposit will be required after the auction ends (within 24 hours). Message me for the arrangement of completion of payment.

Ford owns Automotive Loyalty Awards, Audi and Subaru are king of conquests

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Customers are a commodity in the automotive industry, and like any other commodity, automakers trade them back and forth. Only nobody wants to give up their customers - just to keep the ones they have and try to attract others.
That's what the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are all about. Every year the industry research body names the automakers, brands and models that manage to keep their customers coming back for more - and attract buyers to switch from other makes. Ford usually does pretty well, but this year it rose above even its own track record.
Not only did Dearborn win the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer award, but also the Overall Loyalty to Make. Ford also took the African American category, and the F-150 was named the top full-size half-ton pickup in customer loyalty. Ford COO Mark Fields (pictured above) accepted the awards and gave the keynote address at the awards ceremony.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.
