Up for auction is a 1986 f350 dually diesel 4x4 with an updated 1997 front clip. There has been a lot of money spent on the truck over the past 12 to 14 months. Some of the items replaced and upgraded are, 6 new tires, serviced transmission, removed and installed bearings in rear differential replaced and installed rear u/joint, new glow pugs, new front bumper, new clutch fan, lift pump, new radiator, new brakes front and rear, batteries and new alternator. The truck was repainted and looks nice, but not perfect. There is a dent in the drivers side lower bed corner and a little surface rust on the bottom of the end gate. Interior is in nice shape, front seat is perfect but some stitching is separated in the rear seat on the passenger side corner. Truck also has a turn over gooseneck hitch in the bed as well as a diamond plate tool box. The truck is being sold as is where is with NO warranty. I have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I would like a $500.00 deposit within 3 days of auction close. Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.

2015 Ford Mustang invades SEMA, led by King Cobra
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Ford showcased more than a dozen customized 2015 Mustangs at its sprawling 20,000-square foot display this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center as the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary celebration continued at the SEMA Show.
While Mustangs are always a hot commodity at SEMA, the new generation brought increased attention from the aftermarket, as builders like Galpin Auto Sports, Richard Petty's Garage and Vaughn Gittin Jr. offered their takes on the new 'Stang.
The extensive display included a range of Mustangs from mild to wild, with everything from a 600-plus horsepower King Cobra pictured at the top, to paint-and-wheel packages. The new regal Cobra, which we spied early in our SEMA adventure this year, may not be the replacement for the Cobra Jet as we speculated, but it does seem to point the way forward for the next iteration of a supreme Ford dragster. Fat drag slicks out back make it's reason for being abundantly clear, and for tells us that modded car is good for a 10.97-second quarter-mile run.
