You are bidding on a 1997 Ford F350 7.3L Diesel 4x4 with only 113,500 miles. The truck is in great shape it has an Automatic Transmission and 4.10 gears, it is all power, and has cold A/C. NO Rust, No Leaks

The truck has been very well taken care of, the bushings and ball joints have been replaced in the front end, it has a new water pump and about 95% tread left on the tires. The inside and outside of the truck look amazing.

The truck was kept in a garage for the past 13 years, and it shows. The 4x4 works great, and the transmission shifts like new.

The truck has never had a 5th Wheel hitch or gooseneck, it has been babied. This is a very nice truck and a rare find. We reserve the right to end the auction early. Payment is due within 7 days of auction ending. Call 520-991-7215 if you have any questions

On Feb-11-13 at 21:03:17 PST, seller added the following information:

I forgot to mention that there is one flaw with the truck. The remote keyless entry receiver is starting to go bad. The power door locks will unlock and lock at random times. Unfortunately, Ford discontinued this item, so it can not be replaced. You can unplug the harness, but you will have no power door locks, and you will have to lock and unlock manually. Im sure you could add a aftermarket keyless entry if you choose too. To clarify they still work right now, the unit is starting to go bad though.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.
Head over to Go Auto for the full series of remarks from Mulally, and then let us know what you think of Ford's handling of the Falcon and Territory discontinuations, in Comments.

Ford F-450 claims best-in-class towing, company abandons practice of removing items to boost payload number

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

The ongoing heavy-duty truck battle between Ford and Ram is showing no signs of slowing down. The Blue Oval is trying to remove at least one point of contention between the two brands by testing its 2015 F-450 Super Duty using the Society of Automotive Engineers J2807 towing standard, which Ram also uses. In the new evaluation, the F-450 is rated at a max towing capacity of 31,200 pounds. That's an identical amount as under Ford's own, previous test.
"We leave no doubt with customers that the F-450 pickup truck has best-in-class towing of 31,200 pounds - whether tested using our own internal towing standards or SAE J2807," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president for Global Product Development, in the company's release.
At the same time, Ford is also changing how it calculates the F-450's payload. Instead of using its minimum curb weight as before, the brand is now using the truck's base curb weight. The revision lowers the pickup's rating to 5,300 pounds, compared to 5,450 pounds previously. The company said in its announcement that the reason for this is "aligning its payload rating practices with other manufacturers to make it easier for customers to compare vehicles." General Motors made a similar switch for its pickups in August.
