THIS IS A 1982 F350. IT HAS A VERSALIFT BOOM POWERED BY A ONAN GENERATOR. MOST LIKELY YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS THAN I DO. IT WAS A PACKAGE DEAL FOR ME IM JUST LOOKING TO GET RID OFF THIS ONE. THIS TRUCK SUFFERED FROM THE FLOOD WATERS OF SANDY. THE BACK BED AREA DID NOT GO UNDER. THE ENGINE GOT WATER IN IT!!! THE ONAN GENERATOR RUNS REAL NICE. IT DRIVES THE HYDROLICS OFF THE REAR OF THE GENERATOR. IT HAS POWER IN THE BUCKET. THE  TOP CYLINDER DID LEAK SOME FLUID OUT WHEN I PUT IT THROUGH ITS PACES. NOT MUCH BUT IT DID DRIP. AFTER USING THE BOOM THE CYLNDER ON THE TOP DRIPPED OUT SOME FLUID ON THE ROOF. THE ONAN GENARATOR RUNS SMOOTH AS THE BUCKET OPERATES. I RAN IT WITH A FRESH GAS CAN NEXT TO IT IN CASE THERE IS ANY WATER IN THE FUEL TANK. THE TIRES ARE LIKE NEW. ONE TIRE IS NO GOOD. SO YOU ARE GETTING 5 GREAT TIRES. WIDETRACK BAJA A/S 7.50R16LT M/S. THERE IS NO RUST THAT I CAN SEE EXCEPT THE ROCKER PANELS OFF THE CAB. THE REAR DOORS ALL WORK AND HAVE THE SLIDE LOCK THAT WORKS. NO RUST THAT I NOTICED ON THE BOX. THE BROWN MARKES IN THE PICS ARE GLUE. PLEASE COME AND LOOK IF YOU ARE INTRESTED IN THIS TRUCK . DONT BID THEN COME AND COMPLAIN! IT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR A FEW YEARS AND ALL HYDROLICS AND GENERATOR RAN SURPRISINGLY WELL!! I WOULD HATE TO PART IT OUT. I CAN GET THE SAME MONEY AS MY STARTING PRICE IN SCRAP, GENERATOR TIRES ETC. IT HAS A FOUR SPEED AND A 351. THE REAR SUSPENTION IS SUPER HEAVY LOOKING. IT CAN BE VEIWED IN STATEN ISLAND DURING BUSINESS HOURS. I AM LISTING THIS FOR PARTS YOU DECIDE I DO HAVE TITLE IN HAND. $ 500 DEPOSIT 24 HOUR AFTER ACUTION CLOSE PAYPAL ONLY FOR DEPOSIT. THE REST OF THE FUNDS ON PICK UP.

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.
