I am the second owner of this truck. Well cared for and maintained truck."

1992 Ford F350 Super Cab, 2 door, 2 wheel drive, diesel, dually. Clean truck that I bought from the man that bought it new. This truck spent the winters in southern Texas since new except last 3 years. It is not a northern rusted out truck. I believe it is as clean a used truck as you will find. I tried to get better pictures this time, keep in mind I don't have lights and building like the big boys in Texas so the pictures may not do it justice. The options that were added by the owner: air ride, US Gear Overdrive ( this was done so he had the same ground speed towing as you have with just the truck). If you choose to tow with the automatic in overdrive (which Ford tells you NOT to do, you will cook the automatic. With that in mind the US Gear Overdrive was installed so he had a 65 MPH tow speed @2100. This truck is low mileage and well cared for. Brake controller, Reese receiver hitch, wired for 7 wire plug at the bumper. This truck has not been pulled hard or overloaded. Bed is not beat up or scratched up. Has spare tire and wheel, AM/FM/Clock Radio Original Equipment. Air Conditioning works good, electric windows, and locks, bug guard, visor, grill guard, tinted back glass, running boards, mudflaps, chrome Texas 10" drop rear bumper. It has a fiberglass cover on the bed, I did not paint this because the buyer may or may not want it. The paint on the topper is gone, Texas sun. It has the fuel lines in the bed for an external fuel tank. This is hooked to the switch in the dash (fuel tank selector). New parts: Glow Plugs, Glow Plug Controller, fan belt, tension-er, pulleys, transmission filter and new oil, tach sensor, re timed the engine, new window motor left door, new paint on top of the fiberglass fenders, recent brakes, new rear tires @ 90,000 miles, front tires about 75%. Quick Note: For those that believe you have to have a power stroke, keep in mind this is the same engine International put in their 2 1/2 ton trucks, school buses, etc. This engine has enough power to destroy the truck if that is what you want.
Internet here is hit and miss so with that in mind call: 319-537-0593 (Felix cell #) any time for more info. I have the title no liens on it. I expect $2000.00 down within 24 hours of bidding close. Balance in cash, money order at the time of delivery here. You will come and get it or you can freight it to you but that cost is on you. If you come and you believe I misrepresented the truck you get your down payment back. I have it listed locally so I may withdraw this listing at any time. Truck will be paid for in full with guaranteed funds before it leaves here. I paid cash when I bought it and I expect the same. I drive it a little so it may have a few more miles than the pictures have.

Amid Mulally rumors, Bill Ford praises company's deep bench

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Bill Ford went on the offensive to combat the rumors that CEO Alan Mulally would leave Dearborn for Steve Ballmer's vacated position leading Microsoft, adding that even if the 68-year-old, former Boeing exec were to depart, the Ford executive team is in a good place.
"I'm happy [Mulally] is going to stick around. But we also feel really good about where we are in terms of succession," Ford told Bloomberg TV, according to Automotive News. Rumors first cropped up about Mulally leaving Ford when AllThingsD speculated that he was in the running, early last month. In that same report, which you can read here, Ford's board of directors reportedly okayed the CEO stepping down ahead of his planned retirement in 2014.
That opened the floodgates, culminating in a report from a few days ago that the rumors over Ballmer's successor just might be true. The story is especially troubling, as Ford hasn't had Mulally under contract, according to AN. "He's here as long as he and I would like it to happen," Ford said, "We're also cognizant of training the next generation and getting them ready to go as well."

Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn

Sun, 30 Mar 2014

Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.

Blue Oval's new Cargo cab-over rig is largest "One Ford" initiative yet

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The imposing commercial truck above has a feature that might be surprising to most Autoblog readers - a Blue Oval emblem on the front. Here in North America, Ford simply doesn't play in the eighteen-wheeler sandbox, but that doesn't mean that the Dearborn-based automaker is absent in the heavy hauling space in other parts of the globe. In fact, Ford presently fields two completely different big rig ranges under the Cargo moniker - one a product of an Eastern Europe/Turkey joint venture, and another from Brazil. But that's about to start changing with the advent of this new cab-over model seen here.
Unveiled in São Paulo, Brazil, this new generation of Cargo is perhaps the largest physical embodiment of CEO Alan Mulally's "One Ford" global streamlining strategy. Instead of multiple models, company engineers have developed a new single truck that it says will better meet the needs of truckers in all markets. Designed to compete in what's known as the "extra heavy-duty segment" elsewhere in the world, this Cargo was developed jointly by Ford engineering teams in Brazil, Turkey and Europe.
Specifics remain hard to come by (read: unreleased), but Ford is promising an all-new engine enabling hauling capability of up to 56 tons while still returning excellent fuel economy. Ford's global Cargo lineup will henceforth consist of a dozen models, but Ford tells Autoblog has no plans to bring this hot and heavy-duty action to North America.
