- In this auction, I have a 1972 F350 Flatbed truck. This truck originally came from Ford with a camper on it. Camper is long gone. Someone converted it to a flat bed as you can see. This truck is from Iowa but since it had a camper on it, it was only driven in summer months. It is absolutely rust free. The only rust I can find in it is the battery tray. It is a 390 2 V Automatic transmission C6 power steering, power brakes, truck did have add on air conditioning but has been removed. It has west coast mirrors, excellent seat, interior is excellent except dash pad. Currently has rod through floor connected to transmission but I have repaired the steering column and all that needs done is shift rod from column to transmission to be installed. This truck did run when I got it. I drove it to my shop a couple of times, ran fine and shifted fine. Carburetor could use kit though. Sitting outside in the woods at my house, the squirrels have been chewing on wiring under hood. I have managed to keep the mice out of the cab, though. This would make someone and excellent project. I just cannot provide a good home for it. I have too many trucks already. I have tons of parts for 1967 to 1972 Ford trucks. It does need full exhaust and exhaust manifold leaks fixed. If the buyer uses buy it now, I will get this truck running again, otherwise, it needs trailered. Sold as is. Please ask questions or CALL ME 319-721-2208. Nothing in the back of the truck go with it.

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.
Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
