Selling my 2012 F-450 that was my work vehicle ( Salesperson ). Truck has higher miles from running Canada, the State of Montana and Idaho but runs and drives flawlessly. I average 19 Mpg on the highway and has many updates such as EGR delete, Full length Exhaust, H&S Programming, DEF Delete. Ive not pulled with this truck other than a R.V from time to time and it comes with a Reese 5th wheel hitch ( Not pictured ). Has Nitto Highway tires that are fairly new and ride very nice. Granted this is a heavy duty truck as it pulls 32,000 lbs, it rides as nice as my 1/2 ton truck. Sold the camper and bought a 1/2 ton which is only reason for selling. There is no rust, there are no scratches, one ding in the top left of the box towards the rear ( should pop out and is in the last picture ), other than the that the truck is near flawless. Im happy to send videos to anyone interested prior to bidding. The carfax is clean with no accident history. No disappointments. Fully loaded except navigation, so it has heated/cooled seats, memory seating, power moonroof, power rear slider, power pedals, keyless entry with factory autostart, no rips or tears in the leather, detailed regularly. I had a clear protective tape cover the rear dually fenders to protect from Rock Chips. If it doesnt sell Ill just keep it as I really do like it and it needs nothing. Free and clear title in hand. Please do realize even with the mileage deduct NADA states a $38,000 blue book value. Otherwise feel free to buy a new one, they are nearly $70,000. If someone wants it, I will pick the buyer up at the airport as there are 3 within 50 miles of me. Bozeman, Helana, Butte Montana are your options. Otherwise if a shipping service is going to be used, truck will be paid for prior to leaving my garage and title will be given either over night service or to the transport driver, Im flexible to a point on this, but again truck doesnt leave until cashiers check clears. Ill also accept wire transfers or cash in person. In return for the agreed amount you get the truck, the two factory keys, the title, and a Reese 5th wheel hitch. Any questions just ask, Im happy to help.

Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns

Wed, 22 May 2013

Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.

2015 Ford F-150 enters production

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Ford has given the F-150 a dramatic makeover for 2015, switching to an aluminum body that helps reduce weight by about 700 pounds. Because the truck is dramatically different, Ford also had to change the way it makes the F-150, so we went inside its sprawling factory in Dearborn, MI, this week to see the Blue Oval's new manufacturing techniques in action.
The company has added 850 jobs at the site and upgraded its stamping and tool and die facilities. The body shop is also modernized, and it has been fitted with 500 new robots that join the structures together. The first 2015 F-150 rolled off the line on Tuesday, and the trucks will begin arriving in dealerships in December. Get a closer look at the F-150's unique assembly process in our video.

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
